  1. sounds like delta state, central washington and mesa state are done deals for next year. Delta would just be a one game thing for next season, for the home opener. Central Washington will be a home and away, with the home game being next year. And im not sure about the Mesa St. contracts, but I know they will be here next year. Sounds like Ferris St. will be the 11th game next year. It will be a home and home, which is nice. So, as of right now, 8 home games scheduled for next season, with 3 road games. Already looking forward to it. Kutztown, i believe, is out of the picture.
  2. More recruiting news on the UND front. Again, I have very reliable resources: Verbal Commitments Brian Trone(sp?) OL from Racine, WI - I have heard that he will be the top OL recruit this year. Drake Otto CB from Bretford, WI - Also have heard that he will be the top DB recruit this year. Brandon Jordan CB from Canada - solid prospect from what i hear. Trenbreath kid from Cavalier - don't know much about him. Feel free to expand on him. A CB from Eveleth, MN, cant remember his name though. Some negative news Mike Stadnyk, OL from Canada will more than likely commit to Montana. He was number one on UND's O-line board. Dang it. Kole Heckendorf, WR from WI - sounds like he will commit to ndsu. Overall, it sounds like we have a very solid class this year. Im guessing after all the smaller scholarship money players commit, maybe 17-18 kids will sign on signing day . But those smaller scholarship kids could also turn out to be steals in the long run. It always happens.
  3. UGGHH!!!! i was at that game. it was UND's potato bowl, i believe, and UND was making a goal line stand. i believe he scored on 4th down to win the game. i was sick to my stomach.
  4. as much as you may hate the alerus center, just remember that it has produced 2 teams in the national championship game and two home semi-final games in 3 years of existence, with one national title coming from them. memorial stadium, while i loved it and miss it, produced none of the above. it's helped UND quite a bit. but i would love to watch games outside on a nice fall day, thats for sure.
  5. Sioux'01, no i dont have a special keyboard anymore. i had them whittled down a bit. keep it up though, and i'll come down to that poor excuse of a DI-AA school, and take out your other achilles.
  6. AMEN, Sioux '01. it could not have been explained any better. you are right on!!
  7. Wow, if that schedule holds up to be true, that would be quite the non-conference schedule. I am excited to see it get finalized. I think Coach Lennon is really going hard to put together a really good non-conference schedule. He seems to be extra-committed this year than he has in the past. I think he is sick of playing UMC also.
  8. regarding prices for suites at REA, i have heard that with beverages and food included, they can range from $40,000 to $50,000 per year. its just what i have heard from a few people, so take it for what it's worth.
  9. i may have missed this in an earlier post, but how much is it for a suite in the REA for a year? i have heard some numbers in the past, but i want to see how they compare to what everyone else has heard. The cost for an organization to have a suite is very high. anyone who knows, please share.
  10. everyone just look at the time of night that ndsubison has been posting, take a deep breath, and realize the situation. his first post was at 1:52 AM, and his last post was at 4:04 AM. not a whole lot of text in his posts, considering he was on for over 2 hours. wait to reply until he sobers up in a day or two. he's probably still passed out right now while he has an iron, white-knucklin' grip on his bottle.
  11. Ok, 1 of 2 things happened here: Either ndsubison is unemployed and was up late drinking and posting, OR he is a ndsu student, and he was up late drinking and posting. both are very possible. how was your night of cow-tipping, ndsubison? anyways, yes, divisionally-speaking you may be higher than us. but, so was montana this year, and you guys beat them. it means nothing more than you having more scholarships. we'll still probably take you guys out to the woodshed like we have been for the last oh, 15 years? that being said, just because ndsu will be higher than UND in division, does not mean that ndsu would automatically be better than UND. ask d1-aa playoff contestant montana, who ndsu beat. we then beat ndsu, who could ultimately only manage to tie for second in the NCC, and miss the playoffs completely. so, instead of choosing between the two photos you posted, i'll take photos of scoreboards reading UND 28 ndsu 21 anyday of the week. i think it's funny how proud ndsu is of last season, in which they had 3 losses and missed the playoffs. keep hanging on to that win over montana from last season, because thats pretty much all you have. nice d2 sendoff season. take it easy on the liquor, ndsubison
  12. I have heard from a VERY reliable source that Rory Manke has made a decision, and is going to be attending UND.
  13. I have some new information regarding Rory Manke. First of all, Nebraska WAS pretty high on him until he ran about a 5.1 40 at their camp last summer. I think that kind of turned them off to recruiting him. I can guarantee he is faster than that, but maybe weather and just having a bad day running had alot to do with it also. Im not really sure though. NDSU wants Manke to play QB, and UND wants him to play d-back. NDSU has him as one of their top 3 recruits across the board. Although if he signs with UND, they would never admit that. He really liked the OC at NDSU, Dan Enos, who has since left to go to Cincinatti. I think that will have an effect on Rory's decision. But also remember that his recruiting coach at UND was Tom Dosch, who has since left to be HC at Jamestown. According to Manke's HS coach, he would almost prefer to play d-back in college, which will help the sioux in recruiting him also. I have heard that Manke is going to make his decision on where he will attend by the end of this week. Should be interesting. Come to UND Rory, we are your family.......literally.
  14. An Education at the Agricultural Technical College in Fargo (AKA ndsu) = the equivalent of driver's training for combines and tractors
  15. UND 92,96 Shad Carney will be back for spring ball after a year at a community college in AZ. I understand that he has improved since he left, and could possibly challenge for the starting job, if not, for sure the backup job. Should make things interesting. I'm glad he came back, because he has potential. He gave the UND defense of 2001 fits in scouts everyday.
  16. i want whatever drugs this guy is having.......maybe it will make all my problems go away too, and then maybe I also can live in dreamland.
  17. UND 92, 96 you are correct, Cooper Harris was a GA when I was at UND. he is a Pitt St. alum.
  18. you failed to mention Marvin Harrison, and groves of NFL d-backs also. will allen is the first that comes to mind. way off topic, but i just had to get in my 2 cents on the matter. back on topic.
  19. thanks tugnutt, thats what i meant. CMU is d1-a.
  20. Brian Kelly is leaving GVSU to be the head coach at Central Michigan. Thats a pretty big jump from d2 to d1-aa. i assume he will do well there also. he is a very good coach.
  21. yeah, thats my worry too. we have to try and replace the BEST d-backs coach in d2 football, hands down. teaching d-back technique like only bubba knows how will be a very difficult task to replace. i wonder who is going to assume the d-back responsibilities? he turns average football players into good and sometimes great players just by teaching them the proper footwork and techniques. he is truly an amazing d-back coach. now dosch is gone too? dammit, again!! coach dosch is very valuable too, both as a recruiter and a coach. he was very flexible in that he could coach both the d-line and OLB's. he will also be sorely missed. coach dosch was the recruiter in the TC metro area, so it will be interesting to see how that unfolds with the recruits this year.
  22. WHO?
  23. I am surprised that Chris Erdmann, QB from Crookston, hasnt been mentioned at all so far on this thread. That kid is a flat out PLAYER. He has a big-time, strong arm and is a very good, elusive runner as well. I have seen him play in alot of games in high school, and he is a great competitor. I hope that UND really tries hard to at least bring him in. He would probably be a cheap recruit as far as scholarship dollars are concerned. He would be a steal for UND, I guarantee it. There is no doubt in my mind that he can physically compete in the NCC. Hopefully he doesnt go anywhere else. If anyone has heard anything regarding him, please feel free to post it.
  24. I believe Bubba's recruiting territory was all of ND. If not all, for sure the western half of the state. He may have had more territory that i am not aware of, but I know he was our ND recruiter for sure.
