I agree with Cali here. There has to be differentiation in rank in order to have an upset. 5 vs 6 is nothing. The closest it would get would be if MSUM defeats UMN. or if DU or CC loses. THat would be an upset. UAA winning would be a minor upset, but even then I don't think so seeing how UAA has the capability to surprise any team in the WCHA right now.

Recent skid aside, they do have a better record than the Sioux. They've won against good opponents. Even with the slide I do believe the BADgers deserve a ranking above the Sioux. How far is up for debate.

My opinion is that the BCHL is as close to the USHL as a Canadian junior (not major) hockey league can get. I do think it is more offensively minded (as the hockeydb examples show plainly), but I wonder if it is just a sign of the difference between Canadian and American hockey.

I agree, although as long as Stafford stays, I don't anticipate the Spirko-Stafford-Zajac line to be broken up. What I do anticipate is a Toews-Murray-Porter line. I think with a setup man like Toews can be, Murray's scoring will explode. Also, bring in Porter, who can beat guys to the puck and crash the net with the best of them, and you've got a pretty good offensive unit.

True to form, UND cannot find the offense to win on Saturday. Sunday: UND in OT. UND will be behind for most of the game, only tying it up with less than 5 minutes to go in the third. 2 OTs until Nick Fuhrer pots the winning goal.
