  1. Don't know about that, dagies. Maybe he wasn't at his best but really... how good was JPar or Lammy when he had nothing in front of him? His team didn't show up for most of the game. By the time they did they couldn't figure Elliott out so it was too late. Really, the goals scored were bad defensive breakdowns (Geoffrion, Gorowsky), nasty deflection (Joudrey), and fluke (Davies). Not much to blame Teslak for there. I hope UW goes into tonight's game thinking they can score four goals against the Gophers and then find the Gophers noncompliant. Basically, if the Sioux win this afternoon, I want the Gophers to win tonight. If the Sioux lose, I want the Gophers to lose. I don't want to play UW. Period.
  2. Thanks, by the way, for all the updates on former Sioux all season long. I really appreciate it. You, PCM (coaches show recaps), and RedFrog are the greatest.
  3. Are you sure you want to wear that like a badge of honor? Yeah, I know its better than "Frank Mazzaco agrees with me." but still...
  4. Elliott is the player of the game and UW shows why I wanted MTU to win. Their defensive strategy works well in the playoffs. Of course, two fluke goals and two defensive breakdowns never hurt. MTU's crashing the corner strategy just doesn't work. Period. Gorowsky scored, sure, but there were TWO Badgers open in front of the net. If Teslak made the save it surely would have resulted in a goal anyhow as that other Badger would have knocked it in. Put away your Homer hats, guys, we want the Gophers to win tommorrow.
  5. I'm still nervous...
  6. Ok, I'm fairly lenient on spelling (I just enjoy pointing out various alternatives to spelling player names), but what the heck is finadsing?
  7. True. Hey, on a side note, how much does FSN like the Huskies? They interview Chris Tok just long enough to answer one question and then interview two Badgers, one per intermission. Quality. I'm always impressed by games like this. I'm understanding when FSN is homeristic towards a Minnesota team, but when neither team is from Minnesota, I would have THOUGHT it would be pretty even keeled. God bless all or none in the contracts because I doubt FSN would televise this game without a Minnesota team in it if they could get away with it.
  8. I'm pulling for Brian Lee, personally.
  9. Clutch and Grab baby, clutch and grab.
  10. Not only that but UW is playing hockey while MTU is just taking up space. Woog and Masucko say Teslak isn't playing his best but I disagree. I think Teslak is playing fine. He just isn't used to playing 5 on 0 hockey with his side being the 0
  11. I don't know, but I wouldn't mind having Raymond on my team.
  12. I wonder how long it will take to spell Cichy's name correctly. Chichy is the misspelling of a mexican restaurant in the Grand Forks/Fargo area that went belly up like... 10-15 years ago.
  13. I'm starting to think the same thing.
  14. I probably will not venture anywhere to watch the game, even though I live in Fargo. I like to yell at the TV and get animated, something I couldn't do at a restaurant or public place in good conscience.
  15. I think EJ was too honest with Buccigross the first time around, read his words in the interview, said "Oh $%^&," talked to Lucia who coached him into issuing that retraction or "clarification statement" in a followup email. EJ got burned for being honest. I hate it when that happens. As they say, often in the heat of the moment you can't infuse enough vague statements or total BS to cover for what you honestly feel and so the truth comes out with unexpected consequences. This whole debate is assinine. Let it pass. The Gophers will be losing a number of players this offseasn and we will too. EJ will be among the defections. I wouldn't be surprised if Okposo and Wheeler left as well. UND will at least lose Toews and Oshie. Might lose Chorney.
  16. No problem. I look forward to next year when Anthony is healthy and Hakstol goes back to a goaltender rotation like he had with JPar and Phil last year (with Phil getting most of the starts). I almost enjoy the Grieco-bashing as much as I do the Lee-bashing. And, from what I hear, this Joe Gleason guy is raw defensively. That means we might be getting another Lee to bash!
  17. Sure there is, which is why I hope Tech beats UW and then Minnesota beats Tech. Then again, I think UND could beat both Tech or Minnesota. Despite the record, Elliott's had our number "lately."
  18. Well, since you asked.... I'm saying if Grieco is healthy, let him back up Lammy. If poopski wants to say Grieco stinks or is heading toward a bust I'll just remind him about the fact that Grieco was the last goaltender to outplay Goephert in 2006 and that, because we've seen what his potential was, I'll remind poopski that if he wants to know what I think of his opinion of Grieco is, all he needs to look at is the first four letters of his handle. Grieco played like a freshman. In fact, he played no worse than Weslosky and Stalock. Stalock got no help offensively and had bad team defense in front of him (similar to Grieco vs. UAA) and Weslosky simply played no real contenders except a hype-inflated Clarkson team. Trust me, UAA could beat Clarkson the way they played the Gophers. And I know some of the goals Grieco let in vs. UAA were weak, but they were freshman type mistakes. Obviously, some of us expected the second coming of Goehring. Well, Grieco is 6 inches taller than Goehring and he's Anthony not Karl. Stop turning his development into a cliff from a ramp. It's not a "you either dominate or you suck" type scenario here. I don't know when Grieco got injured or how, but a knee injury on a goaltender is very worrisome. Thankfully fans don't make the decisions because if they did, Grieco would never play because everyone here has already forgotten how well he played against SCSU and, like Lee, won't give him the benefit of the doubt. So yeah, Grieco doesn't suck. I don't feel uncomfortable when he's on the ice. He's just a freshman, barely 18 years old. Phil is still the man in net and it doesn't matter how good Grieco is. All Anthony can do now is wait for next year and play his ass off in practice.
  19. It won't be as bad as the DU/UW tilt. I think MTU will try to be agressive. I hope they win.
  20. I've heard that clip a number of times. What was that all from? Dubay is a rube, but I'd rather have him than Masucko anyday.
  21. Don't forget Dallas Steward who was all of 5'7" and nearly as fast. Cygan, IMO, was the fastest player I've ever seen. Of course, the only memory I have of him was him puck hogging it. He started out behind the UAA net and proceeded to skate all the way to the other end of the rink, burned everyone, and scored. UAA still lost but man that guy was fast.
  22. After watching 2 hands of poker I'm fighting fatigue. And losing.
  23. That's an interesting point, although I thought Blood was more of a Matt Smaby type player. Marto's thing in High School was offensive defenseman. Don't know what role he played in the USHL though. Not much offense last time I checked. At least he's added some weight.
  24. They aren't watching the UAA/UMN game. UAA was dead on their skates in the 3rd period. They were so tired they could barely skate.
  25. Hey John, how about that UAA PP! Game over. Only the clock to run out now.
