I am going to Florida on Friday for a little fun and sun and then flying from there into Denver on thursday morning. Got a room at the Embassy Suites(not the one on the frozen 4 site) for $109/night, not sure if they have any more openings but it is about a mile from the 4 points sheraton where the Sioux charter fan group is staying. My group is still working out all the logistics(how many people will be in the suite(16 tickets) and the ordering of the beer, liquor and food etc.), but we have secured a suite for the games! and I will let the people on sioux sports know if any spots may be open there for anyone who may be interested. On another note I am watching 3 NHL games on my computer right now and just watched Chelios deliver not 1, not 2, but 7 crosschecks in a row to Patrick Kane. Poor kid didn't know what to do.

Probably true, but Todd"let em play" Anderson seemed to find his whistle plenty of times in the Notre Dame and New Hampshire game.
-
Pretty sure JT Cigarro will have the game as well! Looking forward to a Sioux victory followed by lighting up a big fat victory cigar and then looking for tix to Denver!
-
Thanks for the link! Hope for nothing but the best for him. His parent's obviously did a great job of raising him. His future may not be in hockey(and probably wasn't going to be), but it's pretty obvious he will have great success in whatever he chooses to do.

See the plays develop or if you are playing Wisconsin you can see all 5 guys clutching at once.
-
I have to disagree with you here. Eric Kaufman's performance of the rarely attempted 540 degree spin probably deserves an entire paragraph let alone an extra syallable! That was special!
-
Yep, both good clean hits and I heard the Sioux fans wanting the calls as well. I expect it from the Gopher rubes every time a guy falls down but was disappointed in UND fans not appreciating good clean hits.....kinda like Porter"s and Finley's great hits against BC last year in the, oh wait those were called penalties.

Good for Rich Glas! He still wants to coach and for a guy with as many years in the game as he has, he is still a pretty young guy. I admit that I thought maybe it was time for Rich to leave UND, but I think that the people who forget his accomplishments and what he did for UND basketball and the UND athletic program overall should maybe reflect on his career a little bit. Dave Gunther was in a similar position when Glas took over for him and he had also maybe gone a little stale at UND after many years, but he also still had a desire to coach and did so. They both did alot for UND in developing great leaders on and off the court and should be remembered for doing so! Hopefully in 15 years we are talking about Jones in the same regard.

IF no upsets from now until Sunday and it looks like this Michigan-1 UNH-2 CC-3 Miami-4 SCSU-8 DU-7 BC-6 UND-5 Mich st. -9 Clarkson-10 Minn-11 Mankato-12 Air Force-16 Niagara-15 Princeton-14 Notre Dame-13 In Madison In Worcester in C Springs in Albany Matchups are fine, but one Eastern Regional is bare of an Eastern team and the only tossups for seeds are DU/BC and Michigan St./Clarkson. who do you move? Gotta admit I love UND's draw here!!! What would NCAA do here? Move UND to a 4 and BC to 5 and Miami to 6? DU would have a gripe? Swap UND and BC only?(that would suck and create an incredibly weak Albany bracket., sorry Miami I ain't a believer) Swap Notre Dame and Princeton? Is that enough for Eastern draw?

Wooger is great guy. Have a great pic of him and me and my brother and a couple others from a few years ago when he sat and had a couple cold ones with us at Stub and Herbs after a Sioux W at the john. We just about had him convinced to throw on a Sioux jersey but then he thought better of it and said it would probably end up in the Star Trib.

Didn't see enough of it to know. I made a statement pre-series about who would be officiating and think it is funny that everyone knew ahead of time who would call that series. From what I heard it was pretty slanted against Mankato on Friday(and I observed same as I watched the 2 overtimes) but Mankato won that game and if Jutting was happy with Shep(didn't see reason to replace him) then it must have been OK in his eyes.
-
Didn"t mean to imply that. But it is kind of funny that nobody and I mean absolutely nobody was surprised to see the Brothers Sheperd doing the gophs games this wekend.(I sent an email out on tuesday to about 35-40 friends offering to bet anyone that Shep would be doing the Gophs games this weekend and got no takers). I was just pointing out that if Jutting asked for a different official he would have likely gone from one official who is notorious for being less than favorable to Gopher opponents to another one in Campion who may be more infamous. From what I saw it looked like a hard fought series and the one team got the last lucky bounce.
-
It should be automatic, but if either or both coaches want a different official then they assign someone different for game 3. Jamie Russell wanted a different official for tonight(probably didn't like the fact that Thul is only official in the league who will actually call interference and obstruction type penalties)..Jutting probably decided to go with the Devil he knew rather than request a different one.(they would have probably sent Campion down there and then you are screwed against the gophs just the same)

Agreed. The 3 stooges should be voted against no matter if they take a stance on the nickname or not.

A hip pointer is more of a bruise while a hip flexor would be a pulled muscle. I have pulled my hip flexor a couple of times and it sucks. I would have to get in my vehicle and then use my hands and arms to lift and pull my left leg into the car. I know it took a few weeks to heal enough to be comfortable, but then I wasn't exactly lined up with the rehab facilities and trainers that a college athlete would have either and I had hurt it playing softball and it didn't hamper my ability to open a beer so I just let it heal on it's own.

I understand that. But it is either get the suite now or it's gone.
