I agree with Woog. Being physical isn't all about hitting. The Gophers were moving our guys around pretty good when we were trying to cycle in their zone...now whether that is them being stonger and more physical than us or playing with a little more desperation and desire is up for debate, but either way it wasn't good.

Anyone who thinks this series will be lopsided is fooling themselves. It wasn't that long ago that UND went to mariucci arena a decided underdog given only a slim chance of not embarrssing themselves and no chance of winning, according to most gopher fans and even a few Sioux fans. Hopefully the Sioux can continue their strong home play on Friday nights and put themselves in position to right the ship and get a sweep on Saturday night.

The funny thing is that if they were in an actual fight, the referee would have stepped in many rounds ago. No, I don't think we want our School named after our congressional delegation, I don't think The Fighting Whistledicks would be a very popular name.

I was thinking we should just go ahead and dump the logo and let them deal with the consequences that come with that decision whatever they may be. But now I think that as long as we have 3 years that we should go ahead and take our time. The anti-name people have already presented their case and they certainly are not going to add anything new to the equation. Lets present ideas and opportunities, make them clear to the people on the reservations and most importantly....lets wait out an election cycle. The average person of Sioux heritage probably does not give 2 rips about the name one way or the other, but I have to think that having people representing me in office who do not care what I or the poeple who put them there think could make for an interesting election at Standing Rock.

I saw Quiet Riot open up for Loverboy at the ND state fair in about 85? Quiet Riot had a short set as they were booed off the stage in about their 3rd song. Without a doubt the worst live band I have ever seen and I am counting every bar band I have seen over the years. they were absolutely horrible.

Been to a couple games with my brother Florida Sioux in Ft. Myers and the ice seemed fine. They do keep it pretty cool in the arena. It is colder in the arena than the Ralph is.
