  1. Current coach of the Bismarck Bobcats. Dean Blais recruit. Had a bad injury in USHL and the timeframe he was going to be out was unknown. UND brought in Jordan Parise and then didn't have room for Sedevie and he landed at Bemidji State.

One way to look at it, but the matchups may have been a little different. Bama vs. Sparty Baylor vs. Ohio State Oregon vs. Mississippi State TCU vs. Florida State

I would hope so...sooner, rather than later. I like how everyone is saying the committee got it right since Ohio State won but in reality it just shows that more teams should be in as Ohio State's resume should have landed them in the 5 or 6 spot(with FSU) and they still managed to beat the number 1. I am not an SEC fan but I do find it funny that everyone around here(Big 10 country) is spouting off about the SEC being overrated(they are a bit this year) and pumping up the Big 10 which is still the 4th best conference even if the SEC is down. I know coming into this year there was talk of the SEC being down this year due to all the players that have left early over the last few years catching up to them.(The SEC has had more underclassman drafted in the first round over the last few years than the ACC, Pac 12, and Big 10 combined). Then with the surprising seasons by Ole Miss and Mississippi State the national media forgot about the SEC being down talk and instead ran with the SEC is stronger than ever mantra when in reality the rise of those teams in the conference should have been the first indication that the SEC had indeed come back to the pack a little bit.
  4. These are still available. I am in Fargo.

Well. Baylor did manhandle Michigan State....up 20, but afraid to win by 40 and took the foot off the gas.

I know it doesn't matter in the end, but if I had a vote right now TCU is number 1 and 4 teams have a chance to change my mind tomorrow and 2 of them get another shot in a couple Mondays. TCU was no worse than number 3 in the country going into this game today.
  8. I have 2 tickets for this Saturdays game against the US 18 team. $20 per ticket.
  9. Ha. Sounds like he was at a different game or maybe not even there? He doesn't mention that they couldn't review it because the overhead camera wasn't working.

Well, not long term a anyway...but the jizz for schoolwork program was on the cutting edge of Academia!
  11. Actually we had to start over last year.
  12. We weren't interested in recruiting the defensive side of the ball when Travis was finishing high school.
  13. I have heard through a friend who has a high school classmate(I know, ferris bueller info) who works in the crime lab that the autopsy was complicated.
  14. Sounds like this was controversial at best. I know a couple guys who were at the game, and after the game they had a couple beers with the LSSU coaches who gave them the lowdown. So Notre Dame pulls there goalie and are buzzing pretty good, at some point the "seasoned" citizen sitting in the goal cage turns on the goal light as Notre Dame continues to try and score(none of their players celebrated and the refs did not signal a goal). They stop play and go to review it but the overhead camera was not working, According to the LSSU coaches they asked the goal judge what he saw and he said he "thought" he saw the puck go in? So neither referee called it a goal and replay wasn't working and they count the goal? I guess Rico was a little upset.
  15. People's heads will really spin when Harvard wins the title this year.
  16. Rebounding is the thing I have noticed the last few years as being the thing that is most frustrating thing about watching UND basketball.....for the record I see many college teams that rebound just as poorly. Last night against Marquette, when they missed it was basically a 50-50 proposition of who would gain possession. When a shot goes up you see all of our guys just turn around and look at the rim and try and figure out where the ball is going to end up and then hope they have the athletic ability and luck of the bounce to get it before their opponent does. I would rather see 1 or 2 of our big guys average 9 or 10 boards a game rather than all of our guys have 2-6 a game....this would happen if everyone did their job and actually put a body on their guy and had confidence that their teammates were doing the same. You can tell that we do not spend any team on rebounding. An average team should have 4 times as many defensive rebounds as their opponent has offensive rebounds and the goal should probably be 5 to 1. On offense you want to trend that number the other way and get at least 25% and try and get to 30%. An average team like Quinnipiac(5-5) who I wouldn't imagine is any more athletic than UND leads the country in rebounding and they don't have a guy on their roster over 6-9. It is all about effort and technique. When I went to school at UND, Gunther was still the coach and then Glas. both those teams rebounded pretty well but Gunther's teams were exceptionally hard nosed. I remember watching practices a few times and watching them attach the small rim or rim blocker on the bucket and every guy would check the guy they were guarding and block out(we did this drill when I was in high school as well) and a coach would throw up a shot from outside and you had to block your guy out well enough for the ball to hit the floor. if the offense got the ball, you ran. Sometimes in high school we would even do the drill with anything goes for the offensive guy as far as pushing, grabbing, going over the back etc.(usually did this until tempers flared a bit). I used to take it personally and get a little embarrassed even in pickup ball if the guy I was checking got an offensive rebound. Anyway long story short, Coach Jones says all the time and for that matter "coachspeak" these days is valuing the basketball and not wasting possessions....I think obtaining possession can be just as important. Unfortunately fundamentals in basketball have all but gone away from the NBA on down to where you have very few teams that understand the game and instead rely on athletic ability alone....I know if started in the NBA and has been a running joke since at least the 80's about how much traveling is allowed in the NBA but that has now made its way to the college game as well. In about a 5 minute stretch last night we counted at least a dozen non called traveling violations on each end.
  17. #rollturd I have never figured out why the Bison fans put up the Texas Longhorns signal. Wouldn't it be a more accurate depiction if they just raised the pinky and index knuckles just a bit to show off their little bitty nubs of horns?
  18. I don't have a problem with the ball screen offense but you have to change it up on occasion and if the other team adjusts to it you need to counter. NDSU just turned the screener loose and doubled the ball since the screener wasn't a credible threat to score. After a while I was happy that Calcaterra just traveled or threw up a brick rather than swallowing his tongue. I have never seen a guy so uncomfortable with a basketball in his hands.....adjustments that should have and could have been made would have been to have someone who can score at the rim(Nash) or on a pick and pop(Tyler, Antwi) set the pick and make NDSU play straight up. Another option would have been to set the screen higher so you could maintain space and keep your angle to pass to the opposite corner and prevent the weakside defender from setting up in the lane. We could have also cleared the lane and attempted to break them down 1 on 1 with dishes to the help defenders man. Also with Nash being guarded by Brown we could have posted Nash and used dribble entry to the wing and ran the ball through Nash for offense down low or easy kick outs when they double him....I am no basketball genius but these were all things I pointed out to the person I was at the game with at the first media timeout.....we didn't make any adjustments, not one.
  19. According to who? I have been told it has never happened.
  20. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. The obsession continues.
  21. As I have said a few times and it continues to ring true. Not all Bison fans are bad people, it really is the rotten few thousand that spoil it for the other 11. #rollturd
  22. If NDSU hasn't sent a championship ring to Tim Brewster the last 3 years it is criminal.
