Game went about as I expected other than I expected the separation to happen in the third quarter rather than the second quarter as I was counting on an FCS level offensive coordinator to be able to put together 12-14 successful formations and play calls that would allow UND to at least put 1 drive together, maybe hit one big play, and be ready for a quick strike after a turnover or big special teams play.....apparently I was too optimistic as our offensive game plan goal seemed to be to try and milk the clock and nothing more than that. Overall we did a good job of stopping the run but our corners have got to be able to challenge receivers better than that and/or we need to get a lot more pressure on the QB. Stopping the run in the Big Sky only goes so far as most teams use the run to set up the pass.

Hawk was known as a loose cannon. He always had good gas prices at Hawk's Pit Stop and his store was a good place for a 17 year old to buy beer.

If I am the coach I don't even mention it. Guys should tackle like they normally do. If you try and change your style or game it usually leads to missed tackles and big plays.

That will happen to any defense that only gets 3 downs off at a time the whole second half.

In the 2nd half we had 8 possessions and ran 27 plays.....that is a recipe for us getting 35 hung on us.....in a half

Just reading the last few pages of this thread is an absolute confirmation that the process failed and now we are forced to settle for a name that will be far less than The University of North Dakota deserves. Obviously Nodaks and Sundogs are embarrassingly terrible. Roughriders will probably be the "winner" when it is all said and done and it is stale at best. North Stars is far and away the best name left but it is the name of a neighboring state....Stars would have been better. May vote for this with hopes that over time the fans will unofficially shorten it. Similar to how both Fighting Sioux and Sioux have been used over the years. Fighting Hawks has some logo potential but would have again been better selection if it was a color such as white or green, just Hawks, or a different descriptive term like Prairie or Night or went with Peregrines or Prairie Falcons...currently my second choice. Many better selections were eliminated during the process which is unfortunate. I actually like The University of North Dakota Kelly which kind of organically came up in a thread the other day. Allows quite a bit of latitude for a logo much like the Wild.

Hell of an entertaining game to watch! Bison D needs a little work but I think that was expected. Had the over and Montana +14.5 so the Grizz win was icing on the cake although it would have been better if I had just picked them outright. I get UND fans being happy about the result but those were probably 2 teams we aren't going to beat this year.

Like I said you really struggle in understanding what you read. Might want to get that checked out, they may have pills for that.
