  1. Didn't say it would never grow in GF but from what I've seen and heard, it doesn't have the traction yet. Who knows, it might take another brewery to infuse some life into the market.
  2. I believe they are every year during the 1st round of playoffs.
  3. Oh that makes a ton of sense then... I was so lost
  4. Wait, WUT? I don't follow the connection...
  5. I just hope those upper bowl sections fill up to at least 1/2 full before gametime (something I never thought I'd say)
  6. No it doesn't. I've never seen this amount of tickets available for a 1st round playoff game. I've never seen almost 3 entire sections empty in the upper bowl in the 100+ games I've attended.
  7. That makes sense, I just don't think that entire upper bowl is populated by people from the west side of the state. I'm confused because this is a do or die playoff series and the tickets are dirt cheap yet it looks like the attendance for an exhibition game. And before anyone says students on spring break, that's the case every year.
  8. Be spooked no longer... it'll be fine
  9. The crazy part is that tickets are $22.50 before taxes and fees! That's as good a deal as you'll find at The Ralph!!
  10. My thought(one man's opinion) is that GF may not be a great demographic for a brewery. The majority of people want their $3 CL, BL, M'Goldens and not a $6-7 beer they've never heard of. I'm somewhere in the middle, I'll try some different beers but usually end up back with the name brands(although not necessarily domestic). I could be proven wrong and hope I am but this is my impression. Also, I have to agree that Rhombus plays it a bit safe. Their beer doesn't have a distinctive and lasting flavor that would make me want to cough up an extra $3.
  11. Ummm.... is 1/2 the upper bowl going to be empty?!!
  12. Will hurt atmosphere, regular fans have to bring it!
  13. Source? I don't see Schloss reporting it yet.
  14. Or multiple goals by the CBS line last year, they truly were a nightly highlight reel.
  15. Agreed, hope both stay in school for another year. Great for college hockey and especially the NCHC.
  16. They only take the #1 goal from each week. Borgstrom's goal was #2 to Jost in the weekly rankings. You could argue either one being more impressive IMO The situation that Jost scored it in puts it over the top for me.
  17. I agree, I wonder if we could use it as an alternate logo.... and then phase it into the primary... and then retire the current logo?
  18. Clearly, we need that blog from Jim Dahl where he tells us which teams to pull for. I really enjoyed that, made watching my CHN app score updates really exciting.
  19. Good catch, I just remembered with certainty the 10-11 team avoided touching the trophy.
  20. Judging from Jim Dahl's pairwise breakdown this week, it looks like we most likely stay at #12 if we win 2 games vs SCSU. Is it just me or does it seem like we still need to win 1 game in Minneapolis if that's the case?
  21. Wasn't this the 2009-2010 team? I originally thought 2010-2011(I'm assuming you did too) but realized they never touched the McNaughton or The Broadmoor trophy. On a side note, I believe Hakstol regrets that decision because he mentioned he wishes he would've let them enjoy the ride a little more.
  22. One of the most interesting parts of the story that I wasn't aware of: This is Ulmer’s first season as a White Hawk, one of four Canadians on the team. Eight of the 10 teams in the league make the playoffs, but these are playoffs with a twist. The top three teams — 1st, 2nd and 3rd — get their turn in descending order at choosing which team they want to face first in a best-of-seven format from the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th place teams. With these “Pick-Your-Opponent” style of playoffs, the 1st place team doesn’t necessarily pick the 8th place team for the first round. Finishing last isn’t always a disadvantage. They may be hot. They could be healthy. They could be a six-hour bus ride away. And since the venues alternate, those six-hour one-way trips can be exhausting.
  23. Yeah we can wear the Legacy jerseys during the playoffs. Now to decide whether to use the geometric or Brien logo. Gotta maintain that trademark, amirite?
