  1. Why is it difficult to understand that those of who commented were not "knocking that performance" and instead questioning the label of 'potentially best college hockey team ever' or 'primed to become a dynasty'? We're allowed to have nuanced discussions, no?
  2. As long as the goals are in the form of Austin Ortega fist-pumping a goal after being down 7-0
  3. Usually through an SBA program or the owner has significant financial repayment sources/assets elsewhere to compensate.
  4. There's plenty of tickets available on their website http://www.broadmoorworldarena.com/teams/detail/colorado-college-hockey Four of us going each night, Friday night in section 113, Saturday in 111
  5. Agreed, it is funny. Let's check back in on how the dynasty is doing in 2017... I just now noticed it was written 10 years ago... crazy. I always thought the '14-15 Miami team that lost to Providence(eventual champions) in the 1st round was their best ever. Coleman, Czarnik, Kuraly, Wideman, Barber to name a few. That being said, they lead the NCHC in obnoxious celebrations. Methinks they amp it up a notch at The Ralph too. Bring the pain UND
  6. Sure, it's written by a college student but come on, it's still a terrible take. You're one of the best teams of all time? "Miami has all the necessary components to becoming a dynasty in the world of collegiate hockey. With seniors Ryan Jones and Nathan Davis leading the team this year, students and fans might be witnessing the beginning of a team that will be talked about as one of the best ever in college hockey."
  7. Should I know who Brock Boltmann is?
  8. Agreed, that's what I was getting at. I counted 51 starts up to this point so this Friday will be his 52nd consecutive start NOT his 53rd.
  9. I read it as we have some big names about to commit, but I'm an optimist... about Sioux hockey at least
  10. So did I, would Jayson have counted Saturday's game before it started?
  11. Which is why I laugh when a few people were calling the Penrose Cup for either DU or UMD on Jan 1 with 2/3 of NCHC games left to play. However, Denver will be the tougher of the 2 to catch since we don't play them again this year and they have the same # of games played as us.
  12. I tried to but everyone else in the arena kept looking at me funny.
  13. Not sure I'd agree about the Duluth series, we looked pretty rough. However, I'm willing to give it a pass because it was in October and UMD has a little bit of talent.
  14. BC was good and if we're being honest Friday vs WMU was fantastic. Just that whole Saturday power(less)play fiasco vs the Broncos was rough, that game feels like an exception though!
  15. I wonder if Tyson knows that he is considering all of these options
  16. They sure didn't do whatever they could to block all the shots in Cam's 1st start in the Ralph
  17. Idk Miami swept SCSU, no ones gonna be easy but I'd rather he starts away from the Ralph. Many a UND goalie have said how hard it is to play at home. For a "rookie", I have to imagine that's amplified x100.
  18. Yeah I think WJC games showed the coaching staff a lot. Heavily outmatched Slovakian team and he made some impressive saves. Maybe @ CC? I honestly think an away game would be better, way less pressure.
  19. Yup, read it as he's chomping at the bit to see some action and "earn the #1 spot". Maybe Berry dressing him as 2nd goalie in Omaha is a step towards a game against Miami? Probably not, but who knows.
  20. Of his 27 goals last year, I'm almost sure we've seen him 1 T one. Right?!
  21. Notice I said 'some' of my frustration. That'll always be the one that got away. Will never forget the anticipation inside the Xcel that April night in 2011. If we score one single goal to open the floodgates, we win the national championship. I truly believe that.
