I think our goal needs to be sweep WMU since we'll most likely have Boeser, Jost, Cam and company playing again. If we can get a gritty sweep in Kalamazoo I'm comfortable with our chances.

I had more of an issue with that writer for CHN tweeting at a student athlete because they supported a certain political candidate. That shouldn't happen ever. As far as Gage goes, he's a very nice guy. Had a chance to talk with him for a while in Tampa and also during the summer and he remembered who I was and entertained my fanboy question asking whether Schmaltz was coming back

You can see that he's in his own head. Extremely uncomfortable playing hockey right now is the only way I can think to put it.

If you'd have asked me last Sunday I'd say Jost doesn't play based on good insight. However, him practicing gives me hope so I hope things have improved more quickly than expected.

This type of hockey has usually brought out the best in our teams in the last 15 years or so, makes for great drama! Off the top of my head: - Darcy Zajac putting home a rebound against CC in OT - Mark Mac blocking a shot on senior night that ended his UND career to send The Ralph into a frenzy & helped us clinch the Penrose - Connor Gaarder's backhand top shelf goal vs CC w/ time winding down to clinch(I think?) the Penrose I'm sure there's more but those are just the few that come to mind.

I watched TTD but I must have missed it. You could be right though, I'll have to watch it again.

I don't like it. Already over a quarter of teams in the country make the tourney, 24 is too many IMO

If our 2014-2015 team could win the Fargo regional, this team absolutely can. I'd probably argue this team has a higher ceiling but that '14-15 team was playing better than the sum of its parts come tournament time...if that makes sense. Also, the crowd absolutely pushed them over the top, one of the coolest atmospheres I've ever been a part of.

Too many facts for this thread Starman, move along But seriously, this is helpful. Now I remember if there are 5 NCHC teams in the tourney that the committee is told to focus on bracket integrity. However, even with this being said, in the 2015 NCAAs we had 5 NCHC teams and they still managed to avoid 1st rd matchups & sent Miami to Providence. I still maintain that they won't send UMD or DU to Fargo in the aforementioned scenario... but this is all just banter

Exactly, didn't they send Miami out to Providence as a #1 seed where they ended up losing to Providence on the way to a title? There's precedence here so I'm not just making stuff up lol really trying to have a logical discussion about this
