Strange, Schloss tweeted that the only possible opponents remaining were WMU & UNO

If only he had the common sense of 'Siouxfancrazy92', we'd be a contender this year

I could have wrote this, insert Naumenko and I'm right there with you. We'd be at the women's basketball game over at the Hyslop and there was an exodus before the men's game(the women were the team to watch) to go across the street to the Old REA. I always thought it was so cool to go in the tunnel beneath Columbia. -
Come on, be better

Tbh we're so far apart it doesn't merit a discussion. If you don't want to recruit Jake Sandersons to UND I have nothing for you. -

The fact that you think it has to be one or the other is laughable. Wait, wasn't Schmaltz a flashy player? Wasn't Boeser a flashy player? We must have really lucked into that title. I want guys that have a ton of skill and stay 2-3 years in addition to 4 year guys that set the culture of the team. To answer your question, yes I want flashy players who can carry the puck up the ice by themselves, create highlight game winning goals, AND will just as easily dive across the freakin crease to keep a goal out of our net to advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. And in doing so, slice their hand so far open they can't play most of their first season in the NHL. Give me all of those "flashy players" https://twitter.com/UofHockeyBlog/status/1503434063390162952?s=20 -

Correct me if I'm wrong but CC is quite a bit more strict as to who is accepted in, which could work against them in getting the best players. Also, not like it's a full on campus experience being a small liberal arts college. -

No, that's not how it works. You only use the data points that further your argument and stick your head in the sand on anything to the contrary. -

I for one love seeing the fire lit under Gaber and Kleven’s ass last night. Tells me the guys aren’t going quietly. Maybe that’s what it will take to get the rest of this team going. Now we can’t have any extra curricular tonight that would have us lose guys going into Denver. Getting home ice has to be the goal right now. After that, let the chips fall where they may.

What d zone coverage?

I just thought it was funny you said "how down UND has been". Sure, we've had some disappointing exits being eliminated by UMD in a 5th OT, losing to Notre Dame, and getting outplayed by a pandemic but I'd say they are anything but down years. A down year was 2018-19, this year is looking like it'll be one(TBD) but not the last 3. I'll trot this stat out again, average years between titles: DU 7.9, Michigan 8.2, UND 9.2, Wisco 9.5, Gophers 14.8, BC 14.8, UMD 19.3 For people expecting us to win it all every 4-5 years you're going to be disappointed more often than not. Our last title was 2016, so we'd have to get through the 2027 Frozen Four without winning a title to be "below average"(I'm not counting 2020 as an opportunity for obvious reasons).

When you say the last few years are you referring to the conference championship in 2020, 2021 or 2022? But yes, this year has been rough. In my own case, I just put in in perspective that 1) it's a game and 2)I have no control over how good the team is. Many on here were talking about how our program was unraveling after 2018-19 as well, then we fielded a juggernaut the next season. "Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on -Fred Jung" --InHeavenThereIsNoBeer

Lol appreciate the gif So the coaches shouldn't take into account how a player looks in practice? Like at all? -

Speculating here, but I'm guessing while you are not seeing a difference in practice there may be a difference in the weight room, in practice, etc.
