This is very possible. I believe there was under a minute to play when the sign came out. The game was probably over by the time they got to the security office. At that point, yes they do have to leave the arena, just like the other 12k people in attendance.

Absolutely agree, I have already bought tickets and a hotel room so I'll be going regardless. I had a great time last year and although it's not the X I do think Minneapolis has a bit more to offer in terms of restaurants, bars, nightlife etc. before and after the games.

Update in the Herald says students weren't kicked out. It said they followed the sign to the security office to dispute the sign but were free to leave afterwards.

<GASP> Giving credit where credit is due to our coach? That's unheard of! But in all seriousness, yes the coaches deserve a ton of credit for this team. I thought the story about JT Miller decommitting and picking up Gaarder to replace him was great. I've seen Miller get stoned on a couple tap in goals in the last few days for the Rangers and it made me smile.

Sorry for the confusion. My parents got the tickets at The Ralph through their NDCC priority and I bought the tix from them. I assumed they received them in the mail, my bad!

FYI for those wondering on timing of tickets, I received my West Regional tickets in the mail today through the NDCC

Interesting, at the X in '12 wasn't UMN the early game against BU and we had the late game vs. WMU? I believe we were the 1 seed that year but I'm assuming that is one of the exceptions you referred to.
