  1. I'd prefer not to start the cow bell trend at The Ralph, I'd go crazy halfway through the season.
  2. Guess I didn't follow, thought they were saying the sh** got dropped. Thanks for the helpful response though.
  3. I heard bye's twitter account tweeted "nothing in Grand forks but 6 pts...and red pepper" If that's not bulletin board material, I don't know what is.
  4. Not to mention when CC lost to Omaha 4-1 on Saturday they outshot Omaha something like 28-14.
  5. Wait what? I thought they still said "he sucks sh**". Don't think you have to go back to 87 for that. I remember the students saying that and I was born in 87!
  6. Stecher paired with Ausmus, Schmaltz with Keaton. Otherwise same lineup
  7. 3-2 Sioux, goals by Drake, Stecher and Parks
  8. Seriously though, I thought we started off looking really good in the 1st with tons of chances we ether whiffed on or tried to get too cute with. Then UNO took over until a little ways into the 2nd. After that it was all UND and it's amazing we only scored 2 goals. Those 2 pipes were the only time I've been absolutely sure 2 pucks went in only to see they hit post and went out. Then Caggiula scores with 30 seconds and it feels like the air force game all over again. Except this time it's against a legitimate contending team. In OT I thought the first penalty was warranted but Ortega was so soft on his skates all game I'm surprised they gave them a 5 on 3. I understand people saying don't give the refs the chance to make that call but the guys standing right in front of your net. Should Mac whisper sweet nothings in his ear to be sure a penalty isn't called? There's a line you have to play on when you're already down a man. The 5 on 3 at the end of 65 minutes essentially handed UNO the game so I was not surprised to see them score. Our guys were gassed, as they should be after playing such a game. Then to top it all off, Ortega comes out for the interview and states "the penalties weren't even close". That would earn a player a fine in most pro leagues and was a classless thing to do on his part after just scoring the game winner in the "biggest game in UNO history". But its all history and we are still in fine position despite the disappointment. Go get em tonight, Let's Go Sioux!
  9. This is not an acceptable position, it's black or white on this site! So either fire everyone or give them raises after each game!
  10. Absolutely agree, he looks like he doesn't care anymore, doesn't want to ever hit anyone...ever
  11. I don't mind a few "stolen" chants as long as the student section is into the game. I think Wisconsin claims MN stole it from them too so who really cares.
  12. I said second biggest, and I was mostly joking. However, I would prefer that same result.
  13. Is the second biggest the 'outdoor' series? I'll take another result like that, please and thank you.
  14. These scenarios are so much better than the one's we're used to this time of year
  15. I'm not sure if I'd agree Frattin was a one trick pony. He was a pony that had a laser wrist shot, hit harder than any forward on the team, muscled through defenders to score huge goals(i.e. SCSU), and had a rocket one timer... some might call that a horse
  16. Nothing wrong with being a little aggresively belligerent, as long as you're winning
  17. One of my favorite pasttimes
  18. I didn't take it as a knock on UND, actually as a compliment. I don't think he means dirty when he says chippy but that's just how I read it. I thought he was saying it in the context of we can beat a team in a variety of different methods.
  19. Great point here, people refer to having a Brock Nelson on the 3rd or 4th line on this team. Yes, we was a very good freshie but let's not pretend like he was the same Brock Nelson that was NHL ready at the end of his sophomore year. Don't mean to go off on a tangent, but does anyone think that injury to Brock at the beginning of the Michigan FF semifinal caught our team off guard a bit? Not even the fact that we lost him, but just that you don't expect a big injury to happen at the beginning of such a huge game that disrupted play. I don't mean to re-hash this bc it hurts to think about it but I've always thought about that.
  20. I think we may not have the same level of top end talent in our forward group as in years past, obviously not the DOT year. However, I believe having 4 good lines really helps us because I do remember a few games(very few) where the DOT line couldn't score and that spelled disaster for our team. It almost seemed like some of the other players assumed they'd score and when they didn't, it was too late in the game to pick up the slack. The fact that a team can't hone in on one line because anyone could score makes us a very dangerous hockey team. This becomes especially obvious in the NCAA tourney when you have the best teams in the country who are capable of shutting down a top line. This can spell the end of your season because your scoring line didn't get it done. This all being said, yes I would love to have another DOT line. That was some amazing hockey we got to watch
