  1. I think NS and Caggiula will be fine come Frozen Faceoff(pending this weekend) and NCAA tournament time.
  2. If NS is on the edge of playing this weekend I think we should sit him. We shouldn't need him to beat CC and I'd rather he get another week to recover than have him make his "upper body injury" worse.
  3. I kind of hope the tourney is UND, SCSU, UMD, and Miami. Less chance for dropping in the Pairwise with those teams and atmosphere should improve a lot on last year.
  4. I would make the game Sunday but I still would prefer they take care of business in 2 games!
  5. Yeah I was thinking we could have used him!
  6. It begs the question, as a 2nd round pick how did he decide to go to Maine?
  7. I don't know if the I'd schedule the opening round vs the AHA team as an "off" day. That's a sure fire way to be remembered for a looong time... just ask the 2006 Rodents
  8. Yeah I agree, there's something to that but I also don't want our NCHC playoffs being ended by CC. Agreed
  9. It could potentially be the difference between playing Bob Morris in the 1st round or a much stronger team.
  10. I'm saying UND in 2 games. They just swept SCSU at home, these seniors fully understand they only have 2 or 3 hockey games left in The Ralph to lay at all on the line, CC is #50 in the country winning 6 games all year and only 2 against NCHC teams, UND is #1 in country with their "worst" loss coming against a team currently #21 in the country.
  11. Pepsi Center should be wide open this year
  12. That's a really good point that I hadn't even considered, wow that conference is having a terrible year. So essentially, Minnesota needs to be 14 or better in PWR, at worst! And this is barring upsets in our conference tourney and others across the country.
  13. Well this year it seems to be much warmer so hopefully that air blowing in isn't quite as bad! I hope these temps keep up because that fanfest was a great time despite freezing my butt off last year.
  14. I feel like 16th in the PWR is a perfect position for them going into the NCAAs.
  15. I think it's nice to see Jordan beat anyone up! I thought he stepped up his physicality a bit this last weekend...
  16. I'd guess #18-20 Full disclosure: absolutely no math was done to come to this conclusion
  17. A boost of .0001 after Niagara's win, whooo that's exciting!!
  18. If Niagara wins, does that do anything for our PWR?
  19. Unfortunately that may be easier said than done for this team. I believe we're currently top 10 in penalties/game? There is also the case of refs at the tournament calling penalties for being too tall and checking someone(I believe they used the term elbowing).
  20. I have 2 lines of thinking competing with each other. One is just as you said, we'll have to beat good teams to win it all so might as well do it immediately. The other is, better to have to only win 3 games against top notch opponents or have to win 4? I also think teams are susceptible to a letdown after such an emotional game as Sioux v Gophers, given the history and current situation of not playing each other.
  21. I could care less
  22. The only thing that even worries me a bit is MN's PP. However, do I think we'd win? Definitely That being said I'd prefer to play the AHA autobid over the Big 10's.
  23. I noticed how little the fans knew about the game judging by crowd reactions. On Friday night one of their players whiffed on a shot and fell over, the whole crowd wanted a penalty because our guy was playing D next to him. There were a few more instances that aren't coming to mind at the moment.
  24. I just realized if Michigan St wins the big 10 tourney, we could play them in the 1st rd if we are the 1st overall seed. The reason being is that they are currently below Robert Morris in the pairwise. It's mind-blowing that a team 32nd in pairwise is winning the Big 10 conference right now
  25. I thought they did away with that rule shortly after implementing it?
