I guess that's why I would have preferred mock-ups of logos with the final 5 choices, makes the choice that much easier. I obviously don't expect it to be as blatant as the logo I mentioned but I still think a really good logo could be made without essentially re-making the old Sioux logo.

Agreed, this logo has been getting a lot of hate on these message boards but I think it looks great. Now, it is a rip off of the Chicago Blackhawks logo but I liked someone's idea of having the same man who created the new Fighting Sioux logo mock up a design like this for us. I think it's a neat way to incorporate the past logo while moving to a new one.

Went to RRHS and am finishing up my MBA at UND(for what it's worth). My Current Rankings: 1. Fighting Hawks- I like the connection with the aviation school, it's a bird of prey, it seems like an aggressive symbol and yes it is as similar to Fighting Sioux as the NCAA will allow us to go. 2. Roughriders- I went to a school that was 2 miles away from the Ralph that carries the same logo so I think this is a little lazy and unimaginative pick for the top 5 honestly, despite that it is the 2nd 'least worst' option in this list and could have a decent logo. 3. Nodaks- Wayne's article persuaded me to put this in the 3rd position, however the redundancy gets me and it does have a bit of hick twang to it 4. North Stars- I'd like it a lot if it wasn't already used by our main hockey rival state 5. Sun Dogs- I honestly tried to see people's perspective on this but I couldn't imagine myself seeing a player being interviewed going "Yeah we know those SUNDOGS play really tough in their building so it'll be a battle. It always is anytime you go play the SUNDOGS" Doesn't exactly invoke that intense, intimidating feel.

FYI, GF Herald poll currently has Fighting Hawks at about 30%, RR at 27.5%, NS at 16.54%, Nodaks at 16.13% and Sundogs at 10.1% . I'm thinking a RR vs. Fighting Hawks run-off as well...

I could not find a similar thread or a suitable place to post this so here goes: While I was attending the regionals in Fargo last March, I remember standing in the concourse watching the Tech/SCSU game. A girl walked up next to me wearing a Sioux hockey trucker hat. However, this was not any Sioux hat, it was the classic Geometric Logo hat. I instantly knew I had to have it. I have searched online endlessly for Geometric apparel without much luck, even less so for hats. I'm sure I had plenty of these in my younger days but was too stupid of a 9-10 year old to know what I had and lost it. With that being said, does anyone have a Geometric Logo Sioux Hockey hat they would like to sell? Please DM me if you do and I'll gladly pay a premium for it, provided it is in decent shape and fits my massive head.

Is the market in Colorado Springs not very strong? I'd be surprised if many BC fans are at that game so I'd try to sell them on Craigslist.

Huh? I honestly don't ever remember Starman saying either of these phrases... But the reason I think Starman is great is because he obviously does a ton of hw on teams and knows stuff that many of our fans don't even know about our teams.

Yeah you probably were. I was in the Churchill next to the river, which isn't a super fancy building but I was on the 15th floor with a balcony and great view of the city.

Yup, I completely agree. Would never consider a "luxury apartment" without central air. It seems like it should be a given paying that much in rent.

Even so, $1k/month is nearly what I paid in DT Minneapolis for the same bells and whistles (minus the green space obviously ) But that is what the GF rental market is right now and supply is trying to catch up to demand. Not complaining at all (I own my house) but just never it would happen. FWIW I was curious and texted this question about why they don't have central air to my dad (who is in the HVAC industry) and he responded "cheaper".
