We really missed on this one. Why was an option not the University of North Dakota Creatures. We have a built-in mascot!

Agreed with all points on BSU, I was pulling for them when they made the Frozen Four. Their fans are generally really nice people and great fans. And last year, I couldn't even hate them when they whooped us to open the season. They looked good and we needed to understand we couldn't just show up in our own arena. I think part of their "like-ability" is they play a hard-nosed game like us(with less skill players), they have a great coach, and the fans a lot of time crossover as Sioux fans as there a lot of GF residents that live part-time in Bemidji area(my parents included).

I agree it would have been nice to get the win but this time of year I generally look for how the team is playing and try not to focus so much on the results. If we would have gotten outskated and out-chanced all night with our goalie having the hot hand to save the game, I wouldn't be as thrilled. I love that it sounds like we are playing an attacking style that puts opponents back on their heels. The goals will come from the sounds of it and I think there is a lot of positives and lessons to take out of the weekend. I think Bemidji will be a good litmus test for this team as they looked to skate with UMD most of the night on Saturday.

goals against was the tiebreaker Its hilarious some people on here are getting worked up over a tie... At the beginning of the season... With 11 freshmen... Where we vastly outplayed them... In their home state I'm nothing but excited for this teams potential when they get going.

I like jokes. Technically they are taller on average but we are about 5 lbs heavier on average... And we are definitely faster
