Neither one are very entertaining to follow at the moment. Better chance of making the postseason, Wild or Gophers? Even if it's a pro sports city, 3 million people and they can't sell out the self-appointed "Mecca of hockey" toilet bowl with 10k?

It's basically a coin flip whether or not UMD even bothers to show up this weekend.

While I don't think last weekend was Cam's fault by any means, I think letting in 9 goals on the weekend has to make you at least consider it.

I hate how after sweeps this board is pretty quiet save a few frequent posters and then after a bad loss or two the trolls come out of the woodwork. All of the sudden the armchair coaches show up when it gets bad but are nowhere to be seen during the good stretches.

We are in the tournament which is what really matters. We've had teams enter every which way in the last 10-15 years, from 1 seed to barely squeaking in on an ot goal from Wisconsin. We have also made the frozen four from all those positions. This weekend was disappointing but if the team learns from it and applies it to the rest of the season I don't see why we can't be there in April again with a chance to win it all. I've long learned not to despair on any bad loss too long (looking at you University of British Columbia). I think a home series next weekend will help start the push towards playoff hockey.

I think when you compare that email response up with what the Big10 was quoted as saying in USCHO's column typifies why I am extremely happy with the NCHC. The response was thoughtful and answered all of the questions the email had (and maybe some that it didn't).

Meh not gonna agree with you so I'll leave it. I'd like all 4 lines on UND to score goals come tournament time and Sanderson has been doing that lately compared to Simo. Do I think Simo has potential? Sure, but he's gotta show me some production to earn a spot. My takeaway: I hope we have the problem of which players to play come the NCAAs EDIT: Sanderson won the weekly shootout

2 goals in the last 5 games from a 4th liner? I'd definitely call that producing. Especially when the alternative(Simo) hasn't scored a goal since October 23rd...

I think the CBS line should still be ok Seriously though, I think Rhett Gardner came into his own in the last few weeks as a legit secondary scoring threat. Poganski also has shown flashes too with being strong on the puck. So when the CBS line took a few weeks off we found the secondary scoring we'll need to get to #8.

I think you give St. Clair a bit of a pass based on what we've seen he can bring to the ice and coming off recovering from injury for several months to hit 100%.

I think he does play over Simo at this point. One is producing and the other isn't. I don't know, it's a tough call. We'll see on Friday.
