So I'm part of this "hockey only crowd" and these statements don't pertain to me. Am I a duck? There wasn't one person in either of the sections I sat in booing the new nickname... and I don't think heard any quacking either.

I don't think you have to wear the jersey to understand the culture that still exists within the Men's hockey program. I've heard many players and coaches still let a "play Sioux hockey" slip. Maybe some of the other sports could benefit from this attitude as the hockey team is the most successful on campus? I'm really sick of people singling out hockey players and "hockey only fans" too, as if those fans are somehow above it. Yes we are changing nicknames and it may take Men's hockey longer but IMO they embraced the Sioux name more than other sports so could be part of it.

He had a hard time finishing off the chances he created at UND. Kind of the anti-Boeser, who is a stone cold finisher.

I'm kind of over whether or not it's a PS or not. We won, not sure the reason we are wringing our hands over it.

Yeah, my parents have season hockey tickets and they go to maybe 2-3 games a year because they have other plans/events to attend(which is great for me ). I assume most TC residents say there is nothing to do in GF to get under GF locals' skins but the ones that are serious look very ignorant to life outside their bubble. I lived & worked in the heart of Minneapolis for 5 years and chose to move to Grand Forks a couple years ago. I don't get more or less bored now that I live in GF and probably do more things away from my place because I don't have to time everything with rush hour/traffic flow. Different strokes and all...

I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes at Darcy's but maybe I just get lucky. Darcy's is well worth a 30 minute wait IMO
