I couldn't find a good thread to put my questions on the Frozen Faceoff so I figured I might as well add another. - Is Al bringing a bus down to Minneapolis? I've never been on one of these so wondering how much this usually costs. - What hotel are most UND fans staying at? I believe last year it was the Marriot City Center so is it the same this year? - Would I be too bold in locking in a cheaper rate by prepaying for a room assuming the boys will make the conference tournament for the 15th(I think?) straight year?

I honestly didn't take it seriously and I don't think it will affect the school's decision to move forward with SME, Inc. Yes, there is a budget shortfall but for only $50k we can close the books on this fiasco and get our logo finalized.

Not saying this is perfect, but it's more towards a geometric type logo that I'd prefer...

When the whole crowd really got into those "Let's Go Sioux" chants at the games it would give me goosebumps. The last time I've heard similar ones were at the Fargo Regional last year. You could feel the crowd trying to will the team to score.

I don't think anyone is stating or insinuating that profanity is intimidating on its own, however it is a product of the charged environment on game days. When I went to the Old Ralph in the 90s, my parents knew I heard some of the chants and they just made it known that I wasn't allowed to participate... and that was the end of it. As a kid, I thought the chants were funny but I knew if I repeated them I'd be in a world of hurt.

Personally, I'm ok with a student section that rides the line but it seems my line of acceptability at hockey games may differ from others. It's much better than other arenas I've been in where students are non-existent. I must be the only one who doesn't mind the "who is he, he sucks s***" chant. Like '808287' said, I love the zoo like atmosphere and the hostile atmosphere that visitors are forced to play in. They've been doing it since I started going to games as a kid and I turned out ok... I think

A concern that has been brought up by many people is having "another bird logo". It has to be somewhat unique so I think people are hanging onto the change that the logo can create some of the unique ties to North Dakota and what we stand for. In other words, we're hoping you can accomplish what the nickname committee failed to do in picking a unique nickname that represents North Dakota specifically. The Badgers have 8 wins in a little over 1 1/2 seasons. I think Eaves lost control of his team quite a long time ago.

I think a large part of the equation in the CC comeback was goaltending. I don't usually like to throw goalies under the bus but Cam looked a little too comfortable in letting some soft goals in. I think it may have been a good wake up call for him and hopefully keeps him sharp moving forward no matter the score.

Changing the subject slightly, do we know yet what the puck drop times would be at the X vs. Cincy for the semis and regional finals? or if it's Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun? Will be in Vegas so need to plan my schedule around those times....

Separated mine too and you have a tough time trusting it. I tried to golf a week after it happened and could never trust my follow through worrying about it popping on me. Still pops from time to time if I really go after one. That being said, I would think it would be really difficult to trust it playing hockey. The way Caggiula plays it would be especially noticeable.

That seems too heavily favored towards us. I get that UND is a slight favorite w/ UNO having the backup goalie but that being said... it's college hockey.

What about in the college hockey world? Curious, which beat writer you prefer over Schloss? Not saying he's necessarily the greatest writer ever but wondering who you'd like more and why.

All games until the playoffs are conference games so the rest of the regular season.

I've never seen a fanbase more self-conscious than UNO's. They are constantly screaming "LOOK AT ME!" and complaining when UND gets national recognition (for example with the tic-tac-toe pass). It's hilarious to watch them unravel over what they perceive to be slights.
