  1. Tkachuk's penalty was terrible. I get that he tries to get under people's skin but seems he's the one getting rattled. I remember really disliking him when he played against us in January. He was super chippy for an exhibition and it rubbed me the wrong way.
  2. Schloss has said that Chicago is confident they will sign him after this year. I put him at about 90% to leave. Enjoy the ride
  3. <signs in to see what people are posting about after being 16-2-2 at the break> ................ <signs out and anxiously awaits hockey to start again>
  4. Agreed, what kind of a-hole only blogs about UND hockey. The nerve of some people...
  5. You also had to have gone to the Duluth road series so Stoney... you're a terrible fan.
  6. http://www.umassathletics.com/collegesportslive/?media=508224 Yup, but it says premium so guessing you have to pay?
  7. Good 1st post
  8. They said they'd be bigger UMD fans but they like teams that score goals
  9. Wisconsin is 34th in PWR so it's not as terrible as losing to them last year. Obviously a game you'd like them to win but I think they've made up for it sweeping Denver and Duluth in back-to-back weekends
  10. I think it focuses on hockey because that will grab people's attention. Hockey is the big game in town and also is the most exciting atmosphere of all the sports (could argue this one but you'd probably lose). If I'm putting a documentary together that needs $50k to get going I'm catering to the hockey crowd in the trailer. And I have to be honest, that trailer is impressive. Also, the tie in with Ralph Engelstad, the arena, and the nickname is a huge component of the controversy. Just my thoughts
  11. One could always go to the meet and greet and ask the producer yourself if it's important to know...
  12. I'm glad siouxsports.com could make this moment happen. Doesn't someone have a picture of one of the Duluth guys in a spongebob costume? That always cracks me up. I'm sure we do, it's a matter of percentages so we probably actually have more of these because of our sheer number of fans. However, I can't think of any off the top of my head, must mean I'm one of them
  13. Berry is an awesome guy, my family live across the street from him for a few years when he was first at UND and I was in grade school. He always had kids around the neighborhood over and told them hockey stories while providing candy and pop. Upon leaving UND and moving away he handed me a hockey stick he used in his NHL playing career. I'll never forget that stuff, still have the stick.
  14. Holy crap.. I could've swore Compton was an old rink. Mind blown
  15. Wait, so Baxter willingly put the benches on either side of the rink? Ugh, that looks so weird to me. I thought that was only something old arenas like Compton Ice in South Bend had.
  16. Not hate the Gophers? No thanks
  17. I couldn't believe Tuch and Roslovic weren't on the roster...
  18. Agreed, specifically towards the end of March and beginning of April
  19. <sigh> Nope, not gonna go there.
  20. Grandma's is a big meet up spot. Good little buffet, pitcher drink deals, and short walk across the bridge to Amsoil.
  21. Your avatar makes this and many of your other posts about 3x as funny.
  22. I challenge you to find one person on this site that has ever stated that.
  23. I'm not saying that you're necessarily wrong but do you have specific examples of what you're talking about. Like, at X:XX of the 1st period Player A carried the puck in as opposed to dumping it which I think would've been encouraged with Hakstol. Again, not saying you're incorrect, but speaking in generalities just doesn't convince me of your point quite yet.
  24. I talked to most of the students and they were actually really big Boo Weekley fans. Who knew we had so many PGA Tour aficionados in our student section?
