I still don't understand how the play where Lacy was rolling wasn't a fumble it isn't like the Detroit player touched Lacy and then ripped the ball out he hit the ball out on first contact just a stupid rule imo.

Their effort is absolutely horrible right now. They have to find one of their goalies to consistently make some saves and if they do they have a talented enough roster to be a contender if players start playing like they can. I think their next 2 games against Winnipeg are critical and if they lose them some sort of change might be coming quick probably Yeo.

SportsCenter @SportsCenter 6m6 minutes ago Current Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi expected to become new head coach at Pittsburgh. » http://es.pn/1xe89UP Really like the move for Pitt I'd actually rather have him than Chryst.

Big time brawl looked like a Memphis player threw the first punch but I'd think fighting is probably a violation of BYU's honor code and there is a chance some guys could be kicked out of school. I'm still trying to figure out why BYU's coach used 2 of his timeouts right before the game tying extra point when they had about a minute left to try to drive for a game winning field goal and those timeouts could have been valuable.

It was wide open though and the punter made a good throw I'm not sure how that guy dropped the ball.

Especially when they go to Cretin although that may be changing as Ohio State got the top player from Minnesota this year and Notre Dame was after him and he did go to Cretin. Oregon is the school right now that is having some success in Minnesota getting probably the #2 player in this years class and the top player in next years class has already committed there as well. They have also offered the #2 player in next years class as has Ohio State and Michigan State but it might be tough for those schools to beat out the Gophers for him as his dad played there and I believe his grandpa was AD at Minnesota for a while and the kid said they've had season tickets and been going to games since he was 8.

It was a fun game to watch last night and even though the Wild lost the last 2 games have me encouraged that they are starting to play better and may be able to go on a nice little winning streak soon. The Wild power play is horribly inconsistent they really only had maybe 2 good chances on the 5x3 and one of them Koivu had half the net open if he would have shot but passed it back across to Granlund back door instead.

Yeah I can't see the Eichel thing happening especially after his quotes in the recent article about why he chose the college route. The Demko trade is interesting and he hasn't looked quite as strong this year at BC but hopefully it is more just wishful thinking from Calgary than something that might actually happen.

I'd rather have Coyle and Haula then Hall even though both Coyle and Haula have struggled some this year.
-
Boeser my guess is sometime relatively soon he has visited UND, Minnesota, and Wisconsin but I think it is really down to UND and Minnesota and that he probably ends up at Minnesota. Matthews wants to make sure he is 100% on a decision and seems to kind of be handling the process a little like Seth Jones my guess on him is not until this Spring.
-
Looks like he is a '95 so he would likely need to come in next year or the year after probably more of a fall back option behind Boeser, Jost, Matthews, and others if the Sioux were interested in him at all.

I expected the Vikes to lose to Detroit and they did but they it was a lot closer than I figured. The defense was very good and really shut down Detroit for the most part. Teddy was pretty solid aside from the 2 interceptions although the first one looked like Johnson got tripped up or he would have made a play on the ball, the 2nd one was just a bad throw way behind Jennings. I'm really looking forward to see what he can do with some added skilled weapons and a decent offensive line. Don't know what is going on with Walsh but he seems to really be struggling this year the blocked 30yd fg and missed 50 yd fg were the difference between a win and a loss today.

Solid first half and we have seen glimpses of how dominant this team can be at times even against good teams like the Friday night Providence game. Biggest key to me is for the guys to get healthy during this time off and stay healthy in the 2nd half and if that happens this team definitely has a decent chance to get back to the Frozen Four.

Sounded like a pretty solid game especially the first 2 periods and a good way to go into a nice break. Hak said a lot of players in the lineup are dealing with injuries so the break is really needed and the team poured everything they had out in that game so they must have been pretty gassed in the 3rd. Good to see guys get back into the lineup and contribute right away. Anyone know if DU has been rotating their goalies all year? Seems strange they wouldn't have come back with Cowley Saturday unless he got hurt or something.

White Sox make another move signing Melky Cabrera to a 3 year $42 million deal.
-
Gotta bounce back and find a way to get the split tomorrow night. Hopefully the reffing isn't as bad as tonight but I have almost come to expect it to be this way especially in conference games. Really liked the move by Hak to put Poolman at forward in the 3rd so the forwards didn't have to mix and match and it seemed to help with some solid chances in the 3rd. Cowley was very good for DU tonight but gotta find a way to make him uncomfortable tomorrow and finish on more of our chances. Hope to see Mattson and Simonson in for Panz and Sanderson tomorrow.

Chyzk in, Simonson out, Panz in on D.

My guess is Chyzk and Mattson will be in the lineup tonight and Sanderson and Panzarella are along on the trip and will be the scratches tonight.

I believe she should be eligible for a medical redshirt as last night was the Gophers 10th game and they will play at least 31 games. The loss of Banham probably brings the Gophers from being a pretty much sure thing to make the NCAA tournament down to a bubble type team.
-
Also some reports they are close on a 2nd trade today that will bring in another starting pitcher and it is rumored to be with the Reds.
