  1. If the NCHC does add Arizona State I think I would be fine with UND going to the B1G.
  2. I hope it was true I'd rather not have ASU in the NCHC.
  3. The choices would be Bast, Evers, Johnson, Kiersted, or Peski. Looking at the ages Bast will be 20 in December, Evers will turn 19 in May, Johnson just turned 20, Kiersted turned 18 earlier this month, and Peski turned 19 in March. Bast is the interesting one to me as he was supposed to be here in the fall but after missing much of this season with injury I could see him playing another year of juniors. The plan for Evers had been for him to come in last season so he has already been pushed back one year so I wouldn't be surprised to see him here in the fall. When Johnson committed it said he could come in for either 16 or 17 depending on who leaves. I think Kiersted was a 16 or 17 when he committed so I'd guess unless we lose LaDue, Poolman, and Thompson he plays another year in the USHL, Peski was scheduled to come for 16 but it did say in the article when he committed that he was flexible if that changes.
  4. Brad has said that Poolman will come in for sure this year so that's 1.
  5. Would have loved to see Stecher come back for his SR season but can't blame him at all and wish him the best of luck. A guy who really embodied everything that is Fighting Sioux hockey.
  6. There was a Lets Go Sioux chant right away last night. Would not have been a good idea at all to reference fighting hawks last night, it would have just took away from the celebratory mood.
  7. I think Schlossman has them listed on the side of his blog.
  8. Yeah the total put him at #55 in scoring in the USHL.
  9. 24 goals and 14 assists. 36 games with Fargo 13 goals 9 assists, 23 games with Waterloo 11 goals 5 assists.
  10. Think Yon and Poolman are 2 of the others that are for sure coming in. Likely see Hoff and Smith come in for forwards too and any others would depend on early departures. Defensively whether another comes in or not will probably depend on who leaves. Seems pretty likely that LaDue will sign and if Stecher does too than you'd need to bring in another one maybe Evers.
  11. Definitely agree Caggiula was helped in the direction of the goalie and barely made any contact. If they were gonna call Caggiula for the cross check on that the goalie should of got called for a dive too as he was barely touched. Refs let goalie get away with a bunch of slashes anytime anybody was near the net as well.
  12. From Brad's blog Future nonconference Tentative, subject to change 2016-17 vs. BC in NYC (1) vs. Mich. State (2) @ Minnesota (2) vs. Canisius (2) vs. BSU (2) at Union (1) vs. RPI (1)
  13. I don't think they ever did in the 2 games and I'm sure a lot of fans enjoyed that. They also made sure to mention the Go Sioux messages from Hak.
  14. So happy! Got everything out of everybody tonight and showed the dominance we have seen often this year. Fighting Sioux hockey back where it belongs!
  15. I know Buccigross and Melrose get ripped on quite a bit for their announcing but I did enjoy that they only called us North Dakota or UND last night and hope they stick with that again Saturday and not mention the nickname. The injury to LJ is tough as he had been playing some of his best hockey the last few weeks. I think we will see St. Clair in for him but the other thing is can St. Clair step in at center or will he need to play wing. If they trust him to play center it allows you to move Sanderson or Simonson up with Gardner and Poganski which I like better but you can only do that if St. Clair is capable of centering the other line.
  16. Mismash is 17 now and turns 18 next February so I would guess he will come in for the 2017-2018 season which would be a year before Tychonik is expected to arrive.
  17. Another big time commit, about a month ago he committed to playing for Penticton next season. Over The Boards ‏@OverTheBoards 1m1 minute ago 00 D Jonny Tychonick (@PentictonVees) commits to UND. Calgary Flames AAA product was 12th overall WHL pick (Sask.) in '15. LS. ETA 2018.
  18. USHL‏@USHL 8h8 hours ago Collin Adams thriving in 1st USHL season, tied for rookie lead in scoring http://bit.ly/CollinAdams #WhosNext
  19. St. Cloud Cathedral goalie. He was invited to NTDP camp and it sounds like that is where he will play next season. Keegan Karki ‏@keegankarki 8m8 minutes ago Proud to announce my commitment to play hockey at the University of North Dakota! Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way! #GoSioux
  20. Lakeville North forward Henry Enebak‏@EnebakHenry 31m31 minutes ago Honored and blessed to announce my commitment to play college hockey at St. Cloud State University! Thanks to all who helped! #GoHuskies
  21. Mick Hatten - St. Cloud Times 35 mins · BREAKING NEWS: @SCSUHUSKIES_MH goalie Charlie Lindgren will bypass his senior season to sign a pro deal. Signing likely later today. 3 teams are finalists for him
  22. Think you can have 1 extra guy warm up and no it doesn't happen all the time. It usually means someone is playing hurt and coaches aren't sure if that player can go or not.
  23. Not so sure on the new recruits being more comfortable with the Hawks name or embracing it at least for the hockey recruits. If you look at the guys who are currently committed and their tweets announcing their commitment most have the #Sioux or #FightingSioux at the end of them.
