  1. I hear ya, when I was in high school my school was the smallest high school playing hockey in the state with about an enrollment of 200 and we had a team like Bemidji put inot our section for 2 years.
  2. Zajac has looked very good for Eagan. He has good size, pretty physical, and looks to have some good hands. Bitzer has made some huge saves for Moorhead and is a very solid goaltender I would think both these guys will be getting a few looks from some colleges.
  3. In Minnesota the top 64 enrollments are considered AA in hockey, but teams can pettition to opt up like Roseau does so actually there could be more than 64 teams in AA it just depends whether teams opt up every 2 years or not. I'm not sure but I thought Bemidji decided to opt up for the last 2 seasons and actually could of still qualified to play in class A.
  4. That's kind of the same stuff I had been hearing too and I agree with you I'd love to get him up to UND.
  5. Anyone heard anything on D- Dan Molenar from Eden Prairie lately. I know the Sioux were interested at one time, but haven't heard much since. There is a rumor out there he will need to have hip surgery after the season, but he is playing pretty well especially if he's playing hurt.
  6. This kid is huge for an 8th grader, watched him against Thief River last night and he looked to be an alright skater and had a great shot. Looks like the kid has a future in front of him since he is only an 8th grader.
  7. Ausmus was injured around early January and missed the rest of the regular season, but he did play in EGF's 2 playoff games.
  8. UND in 2- Too much speed and skill for Tech. Denver in 3- Mankato will make it tough on Denver, but just not enough to win the series. BSU in 3- Was at Saturdays BSU-Gophs and Bakala can steal BSU a few games, If Matt Read doesn't play UNO in 3. SCSU in 3- Mike Lee will play great for SCSU and Roe will lead the offense to get by UMD. MINN in 2- Gophers look to be playin their best hockey of the year the past few weeks. Not sure if their two players that got injured will play, walked by them at the game last night and Mattson was limping pretty good and heard Ness may have broke a few ribs. CC in 3- Like CC at being at home and like their goaltending a little more than Wisco.
  9. Friday- #10 Corban Knight
  10. Sunday- Gregs
  11. Saturday- Malone
  12. Gregoire
  13. #7 Danny Kristo
  14. Sioux need to continue to stay disciplined and keep cutting down on the turnovers to continue to win games like this . Overall pretty good win for the Sioux, even when they weren't at the top of their game. Big chance for a sweep tonight and maybe gain some more ground on those ahead of us in the standings. SIOUX 2 St.Cloud 0 Trupp, Kristo
  15. Like the idea of using another one of our D at forward and I think Marto could play pretty well at forward. Hope some guys step up and put the puck in the net, but even bigger tonight to play solid D and not give St. Cloud chances with turnovers. SIOUX 4-1 Kristo, Frattin, Marto, Rodwell
  16. Good start for the Sioux. The forecheck is causing Notre Dame's D some problems and giving us some great chances. Dell didn't have too many chances, but made some very nice saves when tested.
  17. Friday- Gregoire Saturday- Frattin
  18. Still don't think the Sioux are out of it if we can play at even strength for a while and that might help to get things rolling.
  19. Neither am I these refs are horrible. There is no way that Mac should have been tossed for that, yeah it was head contact but the guy went down right as the hit was coming.
  20. Friday- Frattin Saturday- Trupp
  21. Just about time to get another season started. I'm very excited to see how the lines look today as there looks to be some great scoring threats on every line, I'm really looking forward to see what the Sioux send out when they get that first powerplay I think we should have a couple very explosive powerplay units.
  22. Both Apple Valley kids are great players and have very good size. Michaelson was the #1 rated sophomore player in the state and Fasching was the #2 ranked freshman in the state. Both would be great pick-ups, if I were to guess I would say Minnesota is probably pretty high on both their lists as well. I know Apple Valley played at tournament in Stadstad Tourny in Grand Forks last year and I believe they will again next year so it could be a good chance to see these two great players live.
