  1. Coming back can do him good he will have a big leadership role on the team and will face a much more competitive schedule than what he played this year, plus its Minnesota High School Hockey...nothing like it. He could also play juniors before and after the high school season like Rau did his Senior year.
  2. I don't think they should have their own tourney, but most private schools should have to play AA with the exception of some who can't even compete in class A.
  3. If I were him I'd come back there is no way I'd be able to pass up on everything that is Minnesota High School Hockey. Its not like he is not going to be facing good competition as his team is going to an independent schedule so they'll be able to play all the top teams and not some of the bottom teams like they had to do in their conference.
  4. I would agree the Minnesota State High School tourney is a different level of hockey, but I don't know if the teams could beat college teams maybe with the way Benilde was playing and everything just seemed to go their way. Benilde and Hill probably have 3-4 D1 players each. On a side note a great story seeing Benilde win the championship with the whole JABS story and what a performance by Besse.
  5. Tech wins 3-1 Not a good night for hockey fans in the state of Colorado
  6. Watching him play I find it hard to believe he won't get an offer from somewhere along the way, he is so calm and positionally sound in the net, actually reminds me a lot of Gothberg when he played in high school.
  7. Thought the announcer said juniors in Alexandria, but not sure. I know he is a real good baseball player too.
  8. Any idea what kind of college offers he has?
  9. Per Brad Among those who will try out for the NTDP are Sioux recruit Chris Wilkie and Crookston's Paul Bittner.
  10. Some uncommitted guys to watch at MN state tourney today Jake Guentzel (probably not much of a shot with him) JR Hill-Murray Zach LaValle JR Hill-Murray Charlie Sampair SR Hill-Murray Andy Faust SR Hill-Murray Spencer Bell SR Maple Grove Meirs Moore JR Duluth East Trevor Olson SR Duluth East Connor Hurley SO Edina Tyler Naane (Probably not a great shot at him) SO Edina Christian Horn SR Benilde T.J. Moore JR Benilde Jake Horton SR Benilde
  11. Yeah I think I've heard rumors that he may leave Breck for MJs as soon as next year, but he definitely looks like a good player, real good size and speed.
  12. Watching the MN State Tourney a couple good prospects playing right now for Breck in freshman D-man Keegan Iverson and Senior forward Connor Andrle.
  13. Kinda figured we'd see Eids tonight, not only because it is Senior night but Dell has been very inconsistent on Saturday nights and I think this might help to keep Dell a little more focused and on edge which can be a good thing.
  14. I believe it is down to Wiso or Bemidji and not sure who I would rather play, Bemidji has the better goaltending and Wisco has the edge in skilled guys. I think the only easy matchup this year is Anchorage, every other team can be dangerous.
  15. I would probably go Dell tonight and go from there.
  16. Anyone seen Jay Dickman of St. Paul Johnson play, I've seen him play once good size, decent skater, good skill, and physical. Looks to have some potential, just looking for others thoughts on him.
  17. Anyone know anything about Red River Jr d-man Jon Lizotte, I know he has played in the fall elite league and thought he looked like a pretty good player watching him against Grafton.
  18. It doesn't really seem like there are any clear cut D1 studs, but some seniors I've seen that have the ability to definitely play after high school are Evan Ose and Riley Soderstrom TRF, Garrett Schmitz RLF, Jordan Heller and John Forseth Bemidji, Sam Coborn Park Rapids, Zack Lawdermilt and Tyler Hajicek EGF, Tommy Astrup and Hayden Timm Warroad, Michael Bitzer Moorhead. Some younger players to keep an eye on for the future Chris Forney 11 TRF, Tony Uglem 11 Moorhead, Matt Serratore 11 Bemidji, Eddie Eades 10 EGF, Colton Poolman 10 EGF, Dixon Bowen 9 EGF, Alex Strand 10 Roseau, Zach Yon 10 Roseau.
