Sioux need to continue to stay disciplined and keep cutting down on the turnovers to continue to win games like this . Overall pretty good win for the Sioux, even when they weren't at the top of their game. Big chance for a sweep tonight and maybe gain some more ground on those ahead of us in the standings. SIOUX 2 St.Cloud 0 Trupp, Kristo

Like the idea of using another one of our D at forward and I think Marto could play pretty well at forward. Hope some guys step up and put the puck in the net, but even bigger tonight to play solid D and not give St. Cloud chances with turnovers. SIOUX 4-1 Kristo, Frattin, Marto, Rodwell

Good start for the Sioux. The forecheck is causing Notre Dame's D some problems and giving us some great chances. Dell didn't have too many chances, but made some very nice saves when tested.

Still don't think the Sioux are out of it if we can play at even strength for a while and that might help to get things rolling.

Neither am I these refs are horrible. There is no way that Mac should have been tossed for that, yeah it was head contact but the guy went down right as the hit was coming.

Just about time to get another season started. I'm very excited to see how the lines look today as there looks to be some great scoring threats on every line, I'm really looking forward to see what the Sioux send out when they get that first powerplay I think we should have a couple very explosive powerplay units.

Both Apple Valley kids are great players and have very good size. Michaelson was the #1 rated sophomore player in the state and Fasching was the #2 ranked freshman in the state. Both would be great pick-ups, if I were to guess I would say Minnesota is probably pretty high on both their lists as well. I know Apple Valley played at tournament in Stadstad Tourny in Grand Forks last year and I believe they will again next year so it could be a good chance to see these two great players live.

No matter who comes in there is gonna be a lot to figure out, but I think the competition will really help. I think we may see a little more of Dell next year and really do believe Chay will be back. I'm gonna say we wait a year on a Nelson and Simpson. Forwards- Frats, Trupp, Gregoire, Kristo, Malone, Hexy, Knight, Lammy, Toews, Rowney, Cichy, Bruno, D.Mattson, Rodwell, and Davidson (15) D-Men-Genoway, Marto, Blood, Mac, Forbort, N. Mattson, Gleason, Finehage?, Hill? (9) I think if Genoway is backe he will be at D, but think about a line of Genoway-Frattin-Kristo, teams would have a tough time keeping up with that line. I am really excited to see how some of these things start falling and can't wait for October. GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Omdahl was hurt in the 2nd and that really hurt Roseau, but I think Edina had too much speed for them. I don't know if Knochenmus or Omdahl have the size to play right away, I think both will have to play juniors to prove their selves a little more, but I think they will catch on somewhere. Anyone know anything about A.J. Michaelson (soph) and Hudson Fasching (fresh) from Apple Valley both have good size and have looked pretty good against Blaine.

LET'S GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIOUX 5 Tigers 2 My prediction is Marto will have a very good weekend on the big ice sheet using his speed as an advantage on the big ice.

I'm still on the bandwagon. It's not as if we are just hanging in there in most games, but most games we have been the better team for most of the game. The thing we need to do now is finish on our chances and play a complete game.
-
YES! Crash the net very hard and make sure Chevrie knows there gonna be around the net all night and capatilize on the scoring chances. If the Sioux can score first and early it could be a very big confidence booster and would allow the crowd to get into it right away.

I've played against the kid and he does have problems controling himself, he is one of those players that can't take a hit without throwing a slash back which is a major reason for his penalty minutes.. He likes to talk a lot on the ice and thinks he should get all the calls and isn't afraid to let the refs know that. I know that Mankato has been looking at him for a while now as well. If this kid can learn not to retaliate to everything and improve on the mental aspect of the game he could be a good player.
-
He is a tall lanky kid with good hands, speed, and natural goal scoring ability. His team plays a rather weak schedule and I've heard he's not all that committed to the defensive side of the game. I would say he is very similar to someone like a Benik.

Great shot, good skills with the puck, and pretty good speed. He is a smaller forward and reminds me of Adam Knochemus, another forward we are said to be recruiting.
