  1. I'm with you on this lineup, think it gives us our best chance to win.
  2. Not suprised by what the committee did but kind of disappointed. Wish someone from the committee would be interviewed on the selection show and the hosts could ask questions like why is BC the #6 overall seed paired with the #1 overall seed when it should be the #8 with them like they do with the basketball tournament. It seems like BC always somehow benefits from the committee making decisons like this. Would like to see them just do away with the pairwise but I guess it is what it is I guess we should have wanted Michigan to win this afternoon instead.
  3. Hope the committee sees it the same way most of us do and we end up in Providence with Niagra, Quinnipiac, and Canisus.
  4. Agree, sounds like their were 5 or so people their from the Jets management.
  5. Couldn't have said it any better.
  6. I like it, thats the way I am hoping it goes right now with the potential of a Sioux vs. Gopher championship game possible in this bracket.
  7. With this most likely being the case if Michigan wins I am going to be on the Notre Dame bandwagon tomorrow afternoon and hope this would be the result if Notre Dame wins although I'm still not sure if they wouldn't try to put UND in Grand Rapids. Providence 1.Quinnipiac vs. 16.Canisus 8. UND vs. 10.Niagara Grand Rapids 2.Minnesota vs. 15.Yale 6.BC vs. 11.Mankato Manchester 3.Lowell vs. 14.Wisconsin 7.New Hampshire vs. 9.Denver Toledo 4.Notre Dame vs. 13.St.Cloud 5.Miami vs. 12.Union
  8. I just didn't figure any way they wouldn't keep BC in the east but if it turns out that way I'd be very fine with it.
  9. Why? if Michigan wins it leaves 5.BC 6.UND 7.UNH 8.Notre Dame and if Notre Dame wins it leaves 5.Miami 6.BC 7.New Hampshire 8.UND wouldn't they be more likely to move UND as a #8 seed into the #7 spot into Grand Rapids with the Gophers and than to move 6.BC there. They could move 8.Notre Dame there in the scenario that Michigan wins and send us out east instead.
  10. I think if Michigan wins we will end up out East with Lowell and Notre Dame will head to Grand Rapids with Minnesota but if Notre Dame wins I think we end up in Grand Rapids with Minnesota.
  11. I think we either will end up as #8 overall and paired with Quinnipiac or as #6 overall and paired with Miami or Mass-Lowell, but who knows what the comittee will decide with pairings.
  12. I wouldn't put the loss on just one thing but two of the major reasons were Saunders play and the powerplay being as bad as it was. You could turn it the other way too and say if Saunders makes the save on CC's 3rd goal on the wrist shot from just inside the blue line we win too. My brother who is a Gopher fan told me after that game if Gothberg is in the net the Sioux win that game and he thought Gothberg would have probably stopped every goal Clark gave up in regulation and I didn't disagree with him at all on that point.
  13. Yeah but Western Michigan and Miami are in the same conference so they wouldn't be able to play each other in the 1st round.
  14. I get what you're saying I was more looking at straight bracket integrity instead but yeah I wouldn't be suprised at all to see BC end up in Providence.
  15. I agree with you and think that MacMillan has looked the best on that line and wouldn't mind see him going back their either. I think that may be what happens with the goalie too and Hak will just kind of go with who looks the best in practice all week and maybe even just go with his gut feeling a little bit.
  16. If CC doesn't win final 5 you would just replace Wisconsin with CC as everything else worked out the same. I'm just trying to keep bracket integrity and not really worrying about attendance but why would Niagra a New York school be moved to Toledo instead of Providence and its not like they have a huge fan base either that would really improve attendance. Really not a huge distance fo Quinnipiac between going to Providence or Manchester only about 40 miles difference.
  17. The correct bracket guess I just really didn't want BC and St.Cloud in or something haha.
  18. Here is a scenario I ran in the pairwise predictor that I would like to see if they kept bracket integrity with the matchups. Atlantic Hockey Semifinal #2: Connecticut defeats Mercyhurst Semifinal #1: Niagara defeats Canisius Championship game: Niagara defeats Connecticut CCHA Semifinal #2: Notre Dame defeats Ohio State Semifinal #1: Miami defeats Michigan Championship game: Miami defeats Notre Dame ECAC Semifinal #2: Yale defeats Union Semifinal #1: Quinnipiac defeats Brown Championship game: Quinnipiac defeats Yale Consolation game: Union defeats Brown Hockey East Semifinal #2: Boston College defeats Boston University Semifinal #1: Massachusetts-Lowell defeats Providence Championship game: Massachusetts-Lowell defeats Boston College WCHA Semifinal #2: Colorado College defeats Minnesota Semifinal #1: Wisconsin defeats St. Cloud State Championship game: Colorado College defeats Wisconsin Also works with Minnesota beating CC and Wisconsin. Leaves you with 1.Quinnipiac 2.Minnesota 3.Mass-Lowell 4.Miami 5.Boston College 6.Niagra 7.Yale 8.North Dakota 9.New Hampshire 10. Mankato 11.Denver 12.St.Cloud 13.Western Michigan 14.Notre Dame 15.Union 21.Auto-Bid Colorado College Manchester 1.Quinnipiac vs 16.Colorado College 8.North Dakota vs. 9.New Hampshire Grand Rapids 2.Minnesota vs. 13.Western Michigan 7.Yale vs. 10.Mankato Providence 3.Mass-Lowell vs. 14.Notre Dame 6.Niagra vs. 11.Denver Toledo 4.Miami vs. 15.Union 5.Boston College vs.12.St.Cloud
  19. Duluth had a goalie that got hot at the right time not a goalie who had been solid all season long.
  20. Here is what I would like to see going forward for lines: Grimaldi-Knight-Kristo Mark Mac-Rowney-Parks Caggiula-Pattyn-St.Clair Mitch Mac-Gaarder-Rodwell D pairings stay the same and Gothberg in net.
  21. Running some scenarios in the pairwise predictor after the game tonight and most of the time they resulted with the Sioux finishing in the #10 spot.
  22. I disagree with this there will always be pressure to win at UND because the expectations are championships and I wouldn't want it any other way.
  23. I think a lot of people would take Dell back right about now to stabalize the goaltending position.
  24. 2 big ones I remember were he was slow to release and Howe slid over to stop him on 2 pad stack and I think it was a low Kristo shot Howe kicked rebound into slot and went right past OD and if he catches it he has the same chance as Caggiula did on his 2nd goal.
  25. I thought we created a lot of chances tonight and Howe made some nice saves but we have to find a way to cash in on more of them. The goaltending and powerplay are really the 2 things that let us down tonight and I think it does create a lot of question over who gets the start in the 1st round of NCAAs? I would probably lean towards Zane right now as I think he is better controlling the rebounds and positionally and the biggest reason is I believe he really has a greater ability to steal a game and make a big save on a breakaway the Saunders really hasn't showed recently. I think trust Hak but it just seems like we would be better off with Rodwell in the lineup and OD out and someone else up top with Knight and Kristo. OD has had a number of chances created by Knight and Kristo and a few tonight with basically open nets and couldn't cash in and really seems out of place at times so I wouldn't mind to see a change. I would have loved another matchup with Minnesota but who knows maybe there is one waiting in the NCAAs somewhere as well and while I really wanted to take the win the last real final 5 and 4th straight broadmoor I am okay with the loss in the sense that we can get rested up and ready for a run at Championship #8. We have won the final 5 the last 3 years and it hasn't brought us a whole lot of success in the NCAAs so maybe this is the route that will bring us more NCAA success.
