I think Voltin is still young enough where he is a guy who could be pushed back another year and still play in the USHL but I'm not sure if Rowe still can although I think he is one they may like to push back. The article says Simonson will come next season and I would think Olson and Schmaltz would be the two that are definitely here next season. The rest of the committed forwards would probably be pushed back to the year after although I believe Wilkie signed a NLI and that usually means the player will be here the next season.

Good about 10 minutes of play there at the end to get the important sweep. Now some time off to hopefully get everyone healthy and ready for a 2nd half run.
-
I was gonna pick Ausmus but then I started thinking about it too much and decided to go with Simpson guess I shoulda went with my first instinct.
-
I'll go with Simpson to hopefully finally end this thing tonight.
-
Haha I think the Northern Michigan goal deflected in off Stecher.
-
Yep I heard Jackson right away and continued to laugh at Kober and Hammer as they just kept talking about the puck going in.

Overall another pretty decent game and another important win tonight. Northern Michigan really didn't have any real great chances and I think it has been quite a while since we have been able to say that about an opponent. Game really seemed to be getting chippy as it went on and I would expect the same thing tomorrow. You can still tell that there are a number of guys that aren't 100% that are playing right now so hopefully we can get another win tomorrow and head to the break on a nice little streak and get close to fully healthy.

I wasn't too familar with the exact rule but watching you could see and hear Jackson yelling from the bench to make sure the refs were reviewing the goal and looking for that so good to see him on top of that.
-
Yeah based on the lineup the only guy out you could kind of consider a regular is Ausmus and he has been almost an every other game kind of deal going right now.
-
I'll take Stecher tonight.

Should be noted Minnesota's top player Rachel Banham who averages around 22ppg did not play today I think as more of a precaution because of a minor injury sustained in their game vs. Miami because she got injured at the end of the 1st half against Miami but came back to play the 2nd half of that game.

Not sure if this changes anything for the game but: North Dakota MHockey@UNDMHockey22m Change now official. "@SchlossmanGF: UND's second goal tonight will be changed to Paul LaDue from Keaton Thompson and Andrew Panzarella.” Expand Collapse

My pick Gaarder took at least 2 penalties tonight so he made sure he was on the stat sheet at least.

Solid road sweep this weekend gotta keep it going into next weekend and get a sweep at home.
-
I believe 4-0-1 for this season.

Probably Jared Bethune who is a Junior and off to a great start. Warroads top line actually has the top 3 scorers in the state right now. Bethune was selected to play with the US under 17 team this summer but couldn't because of Canadian citizenship. I saw on the travel blog that Coach Berry didn't travel with the team because he was on a recruiting trip and had to catch up with them. I'm not real sure who he was visiting but some Minnesota high school players to watch for the future are Zach Yon F SR. Roseau, Jared Bethune F JR. Warroad, Tanner Tweeten F Soph. EGF, Dixon Bowen F JR. EGF, Max Zimmer F Soph. Wayzata, Kieffer Bellows F Soph. Edina, Jonah Bischoff F Soph. Grand Rapids, Hunter Shepard G SR. Grand Rapids, and Zach Driscoll G JR. Eastview.

Pretty good team win tonight after a slow and ugly start to the game. Zane played pretty well making some big saves and really kept us in the game early on. I really like the way the Pattyn-Gaarder-Rodwell line is playing right now they may not be the most skilled line but they can grind it out and play physical and lately contribute a goal here and there. The powerplay definitely looked better than last weekend but I still think the guy at the top needs to take more shots, at times it seems like they are too hesitant at top and looking for an extra pass when they have a shooting lane and a guy in front of the goalie. Need another good effort tomorrow night and hopefully that results in another win.

Gaarder for Saturday.
-
I'll take O'Donnell tonight.
-
Shane Gersich and the NTDP are on FSN+ against Michigan for anyone that wants to get another look at him, Michigan leads 2-1 after 1.
-
Looks like the team is getting healthier. North Dakota MHockey@UNDMHockey2h Dave Hakstol says junior forward Mark MacMillan has practiced all week and he's "hopeful" he'll be available this weekend. North Dakota MHockey@UNDMHockey2h Hakstol added that Colten St. Clair remains out this weekend. It's possible he returns next week but most likely back after Christmas.

Nice to finally get a win again but still lots of areas that will need to continue to get better. I thought the energy and effort was real good in the 1st and then in the 2nd and 3rd there were areas of time where we just sat back and let St.Lawrence do whatever they wanted which was the case with their 1st goal. Definitely need to stay agressive and attacking consistently throughout the game an make some smarter plays at times. I didn't like the major call on Tambo early and I'm pretty sure Hak thought it should have been a 2 from his reaction as well. I thought Zane played pretty well and really bailed the team out at times, hopefully he can take the goalie job and run with it. Big weekend at Western Michigan, need to play better consistently and get points.

I'll go with Chyzyk

Wouldn't have mattered if they knew exactly what Hak wanted to do tonight or had no idea with the amount of effort the players put out there tonight. Hak should have them on the ice still skating because it didn't look like they put much into the game tonight.
