  1. Haha you NDSU fans really are delusional if you think Sioux hockey isn't the most popular sport in the state. I know plenty of NDSU football fans that are also Sioux hockey fans but not any that are the other way around. Ever have a school make a ticket policy specifically to try to keep your fans out of their building because it feels at best like a neutral site game? As for K-State beating Michigan and Michigan beating Minnesota you must have the missed the part earlier where we said Michigan was missing players including their starting QB and having to have a true freshman make his 1st start. You can argue all you want about how much better you guys think NDSU football is than Minnesota but the fact is NDSU football will never get to the level they are at and already have been at.
  2. Yet for some reason recruits continue to choose Minnesota over NDSU. I wonder why? Maybe because NDSU will never get to the level Minnesota is already at.
  3. Yeah haven't won a championship in a while but still by far the most popular and prestigious team in the state.
  4. More just happy for those guys but sure.
  5. Most Minnesota fans can't take NDSU seriously either. The Minnesota fanbase didn't attend the game well because it was the same bowl game as the year before and the team really deserved a better game and probably should have been playing in the Gator Bowl against Georgia. Minnesota is a program on the rise again right now.
  6. I use to keep up with football more in the D2 days when a couple guys from my hometown played and they both won national championships so I guess I did enjoy that yes but since the transition to D1 I haven't followed all that closely.
  7. Agreed there is a reason schools move from the FCS level to the FBS level and not the other way around.
  8. I'm a Sioux hockey fan and don't really care about UND football much.
  9. Probably would have been hard for the K-State game to have decent ratings on ESPN when the game was on Fox Sports 1 when it was brand new channel.
  10. Minnesota ran the ball fine against Michigan State so I'm pretty sure they would be fine against NDSU. Jensen would have been forced to throw because NDSU would have struggled to get much rushing.
  11. Jealous of what JV national championships? I just find it funny how much NDSU football fans think of their team and how much they think others care about them.
  12. Yes a top program with real D1 National Championships and one of the most storied hockey programs in the nation. Haha you are fan of a team that plays at basically the JV level of D1 football.
  13. Yeah much worse than those NDSU football fans who bring signs to games that say we want Alabama or Florida State and actually think they could compete in the Big Ten.
  14. You do know people can be fans of different teams in different sports right?
  15. A top hockey 1st school.
  16. I watched the game Michigan QB missed on a lot of throws but Michigan's defense looked horrible and like they didn't want to be there.
  17. I don't have specific examples because I don't care that much about NDSU football. Believe he may have thrown a early pick 6 against Coastal Carolina in the playoffs. Northwestern was missing a QB but he split time with another QB and that guy played against the Gophers. They were missing their starting RB though.
  18. You mean in a bowl game they probably weren't very happy to be in and without their dynamic starting QB and instead a true freshman making his 1st college start?
  19. Saw 4 guys were kicked out in this one for fighting too including the Ferris State goalie.
  20. Better job of getting to the net tonight and finishing. Thought Zane made some good saves but I'm sure he wanted that 2nd goal back after mishandling it a little. Really thought overall the team played a better game Friday than they did tonight but I will definitely take the win. Got some help from Western Michigan this weekend and hopefully we can take advantage of that going into Denver next weekend.
  21. I don't know about specific examples because I don't care about NDSU that much but I know he has thrown more than his fair share of pick 6's sometimes early in games to put the team behind right away and I really think he is an average QB and good leader with a real good supporting cast around him. As for asking who the Gophers beat in other posts NDSU beat an average K-State team with a lot of different players from the previous season in the 1st game of the year. The Gophers Nebraska, @ Northwestern, and Penn State wins were all better than that and the Gophers were a few mistakes in the redzone away from pulling an upset at Michigan State.
  22. I know he played pretty decent as a Freshman last year and was playing well as a Soph. this year especially during the 4 game win streak but then he really struggled down the stretch against the better teams like Wisconsin and Michigan State. Part of that was also his receivers dropping a number of balls and losing his top target to an ACL but he also was less accurate down the stretch and in the bowl game and I still kinda wonder if he wasn't dealing with some type of arm injury.
  23. I had high hopes for Nelson but he really never met them and was wildly inconsistent aside from the 4 game conference winning streak although much of it was due to the running game offensively. Leidner performed much better than Nelson throwing the ball and most fans felt he would be the leader to start going into the Spring especially after his strong relief appearance in the bowl game. I would expect Leidner to become a more consistent thrower this season as well but the Gophers will still strongly rely on the run especially if they are able to keep Jeff Jones committed and I would expect at least 6-7 wins next season and a chance to do more damage than that if Leidner can be consistent, the other key for them will be replacing a likely top 2 round pick in Hageman at DT.
  24. Makes mistakes and gets bailed out a lot by the team around him.
  25. No jealousy here but I do find it very funny when NDSU thinks they would be top half of the Big 10 or Big 12 because they pull off an upset over a team in that conference that was replacing a lot of guys and yes I do think Minnesota would have beat KSU this season.
