Being recruited to apply for more desirable, higher paying jobs must be hard on a guy.

At this point, things are definitely pointing towards like it is happening. Their board of regents are meeting tomorrow. Kennedy cancelled a meeting with the GF Herald for later this afternoon. For being such a supposed "terrible" president, he sure has managed to impress and garner interest from some pretty big name schools during his tenure at UND. Almost like people had a personal vendetta instead of looking at some of the stuff that was accomplished, particularly in the face of the budget mess.
-
Nah, no one has said anything even close to that. Plenty of people have offered constructive criticism and ideas on what could be better. However it does seem that you're content taking the exact opposite approach whereas that there is absolutely nothing positive about the program, every decision (or at minimum, the ones that you don't agree with) deserves to be criticized and the only plausible explanation for things you don't like is because other people don't care about it regardless of actual reasoning making sense.
-
I agree they could make it bigger. I know there are reasons for their current reasoning, but I don't know what they are. But ndsu does a glorified practice instead of a full blown game for their spring game as well, so what exactly does that mean?
-
Technically correct, however tailgating was "allowed" in the past when the spring game was held at Memorial. They could and have made an exception if they chose to. Regardless, I'll take a packed HPC over an empty echo chamber at the Alerus Center (which is booked for a big money event anyway).
-
Muss 2011 - Alerus - No estimate, poor weather, but there was a cook-off that was done in the snow and people had a blast. 2012 - Alerus - estimated attendance 2,000 2013 - Alerus - No estimate Bubba 2014 - Alerus - estimated attendance 1,100 2015 - Memorial (Saturday morning) - estimated attendance 700 2016 - HPC (scheduled for Memorial, moved to due to weather) - estimated attendance 1,200 2017 - HPC - estimated attendance 1,1100 2018 - HPC - no estimate I think it is fine to do at the HPC, especially with the new bleachers. That being said, even if they keep the practice portion the same, I wish they would make a little more of an event out of it, such as having it on Saturday and doing some sort of tailgating.

Here are the actual current rates. I'm not sure what the usage is for the parking ramp or the shuttle services, I'd be curious about that before getting worked up about the change. No. Absolutely a non-starter. The Olympic arena sees a ton of use during the winter for its intended purpose, hockey. On top of that, it would be a ton of work to shift back and forth between "curling ice" and "hockey ice" and the quality of both would suffer. That doesn't even take into account all of the paint underneath the ice. Grand Forks actually has a very nice, new curling facility, why anyone would want to use something else is beyond me.
-
I'm not sure it does. Unless someone is on a 4 for 5 or they didn't use their full allotment this year, they were going to have to do something anyway. They didn't graduate anyone and are bringing in a player next season, math wasn't adding up.
-
I don't disagree, just pointing out why Byfuglien took it as far as he did. On the flip side, Caggiula needs to be smarter than that, especially being a few days out of concussion protocol.

Buff knocked him down and gave him an extra shove or two, but I think everything after that was in response to the slash that Drake game him across the ankle/foot which is speculated to be the "lower body injury" that has kept him out recently.

I'd argue that if he wants to move up the food chain in general, calling FB, MIH and BB aren't bad to have on your reel. Moving up the Midco chain doesn't get your real high. -
He could still become eligible within the Summit, he'd just have to file an appeal. My guess is it would be granted. That being said, I don't think he fits into what UND currently needs. He does turn the ball over a lot but he has talent and I think he was misused in Fargo or at least wasn't put in the best spots to excel.

Apropos of nothing, you'd be a terrible investor. -
Stronger? Possibly. More accurate? I think that's where the problem lies. I think Danny is trying get the best athletes on the field and that's why he, along with a few other guys, are seeing reps at multiple positions. The level of accuracy Schuster showed in high school is going to make him an intriguing option once he gets on campus and gets a year or two under his belt.
-
Yep, good catch. Meant to say they were currently tied and could pass UND.
-
My rankings for Fargo is AIC / Denver / OSU / SCSU. SCSU probably gets penalized because they'll actually have some fans there and the disappointment of them flaming out early again would be at least entertaining. Maybe a little harsh, but misery loves company. I know Denver is currently tied with UND at 8 titles, but OSU doesn't deserve more nice things.

Wow, they moved quick. Thought they'd aim high again, they must think highly of Henderson and assume he can hold on to current players and recruits. Thought

Tim Miles has elderly parents that live an hour from Brookings. UN-L is on the hook to pay him another $2.5 million through March, 2021. The salary he gets in a new job reduces the payments, similar to what happened when Bo Pellini went to Youngstown to coach after UN-L fired him. So unless he gets a job offer that pays more than $1.25 million/year, he's not really losing anything. On top of that, guessing he made somewhere north of $11 million in the 7 years he was a Nebraska plus the buyout, so I doubt he's hurting for money. Could he be interested in a couple year stint back near his home? I'm all for it just for the entertainment purposes.

It's an annual event (Women for Philanthropy) and has been set up for a few months now, before the most recent comments about no further donations for buildings or whatever it was. Doesn't mean it won't be a little awkward....
-
Sure, but if even a small percentage of the people who pretend to be up in arms over the program being cut showed a little bit of interest while it was around, well, it just might still be around. That was the problem, there was very minimal support despite the amount of resources the program was given. The team itself didn't help by continuously tripping up year after year not to mention failing to win a single national tournament game or conference title, even when they had 2 of the best players in the world or a roster full of Olympians.

Pretty sure London has been dinged up. Hopefully he can get through it and get on the field. Excited to see the defense a little more spread out, giving JJ room to maneuver up the middle with some speed. Not going to be a lot of defensive backs excited to step up and make that stop.
-
She got to go somewhere where she could win instead of underperform. Two of the best players in the world (plus how many Olympians) couldn't do better than a T-2 in conference and zero NCAA wins.
