  1. 5-2 would be a pretty good home record, not borderline failure, considering that we have 3 of this year's playoff teams (SDSU, MSU and EWU) coming in along with Montana. These are also 4 of the first 6 games of the year with what will most likely be a freshman QB. Our home schedule is much tougher than our away schedule (based on this year at least).

There is one or two voters who give their 25th place vote (1 point) to the D-1AA/FCS champion in the final poll of the year every year since 2009. App State also recieved 5 points in the final 2007 poll. Pretty neat, but nothing new.

Wonder what will happen in 2014 when the FBS has both bowls and a "playoff" that determines a champion.
  4. Did the governor take the time to make the signs that referenced UND that were down in Frisco last year?
  5. As I stated, I don't see Faison signing a one game deal with FU. If UM were to buy out the UND game (which is the only reason UND would need to look at scheduling another game for 2013 per what I've seen), they can afford to go on the road for the front end of a home and home contract to set up a nice home game down the road.
  6. Everything I've seen and heard from UND's athletic department has been that they are set on 11 game next year. Looking at the schedule, putting NDSU on the September bye date, especially with what looks to be a freshman QB between UM and MSU (edit: SDSU game is before UM game), would be a terrible idea. There was rumbling a few months back that Montana would buy out their trip to Grand Forks ($75-100K I think, but am not sure). I haven't heard anything on that recently and I would assume Montana would extend some courtesy to UND as a conference mate and give a decent heads up if they were to do that. So unless UM buys the game out and GT will actually accept the one time home-and-home that has has claimed he wanted all along, this game will not happen. I don't see Faison signing a one game deal.
  7. Yet you're still hanging around here...
  8. I do agree, the coaching staff is the one who needs to figure out if you have space for him. But saying is not that. It is saying guys that are already there are better, even though the majority of them haven't seen the field yet. They very well could end up better, but nothing is a guarantee in the world of recruiting.
  9. I see there was a shot or two at Mollberg on there as well. Classy. But they didn't want him. That was what Bohl must have told him when he called from TCF Bank field right before their UofM game. Glad that they have moooooved on.
  10. So coming out of high school one year ago, he was rated higher than most if not all of the majority of the young lineman you just named. But since he had the opportunity and chose to go somewhere bigger than those guys that are now FU players, he would have no chance coming there and playing? And you have seen little to no game action from any of them, but just assume they are better? Not sure I am following your logic other than you may or may not get him, so you need to make sure that there is a reason in your back pocket in case you don't.

Jensen's legs have kept the FU offense moving much more efficiently than his arm, but those Bison fans who are saying that TD run was all him and he put the team on his back are doing a huge disservice to your line and the RB that cleared the path for him on that go ahead TD. He was barely touched. Not sure how GSU didn't key on him, everyone I was with called a QB keeper before the multiple timeout debacle. Also, their punter was probably the unsung hero of this game. He boomed a few and put GSU in a bad spot more than once, particularly in the 4th quarter.

Everyone in the building had to have seen the keeper coming. 50/50 shot at best of a RB picking it up and now way were they going to let Jensen throw it. Was a heck of a game, I imagine it humbled some FU fans, not so sure they should have pulled that one out but they hung around long enough and pulled it out. Their punter was probably the MVP of the game. Hope tomorrow's is just as entertaining.

Fun how statistics say what we want them to. Again, one game so the results have no real bearing, but playing your game... What does it say about the MVFC defense's when the fifth rated offense in the Big Sky (without facing the 2nd and 13th rated defenses) scores 48% more than they averaged against Big Sky teams? And a whopping 137% more points than ISU normally gives up to MVFC offenses? EWU had their 2nd highest point total of the year (UND) and 3rd highest yardage (CP and SUU).
  14. Taylor Braun goes for 22 including 3/5 from 3. Last year he had 8 with no 3's. Attribute that to Huff's defense, it was sorely missing yesterday and was a huge difference in the game. Brekke getting a whole 3 minutes before being concussed didn't help either, pretty apparent considering they pulled down 18 offensive rebounds. UND was outshot 62-39 and lost the TO battle 19-6. Tough to win any games with stats like that. The Summit refs didn't help matter by not allowing for any flow in the game, terrible. That being said, I expected UND to play better but they looked like a much different team than they did against SDSU. This was a big OOC game for bragging rights, but in the grand scheme of things, does nothing to the ultimate goal of this team, winning the Big Sky tournament. Hopefully Brekke will be fine, Huff will be back and this team starts gelling. Getting Nash back would be a nice bonus, but with the NCAA, not holding my breath.
  15. Yellow or gold? There is "Scream Yellow" but then there is the "Gold Rush". Don't think they'd be the same, yet they appear to be...
  16. They looked better than UND going into the game last year as well. Then UND won and NDSU ended the year with a 4-10 run including getting knocked out in the first round of the Summit tournament. Not saying that NDSU can't win this year, especially if Huff doesn't play. UND would definitely miss his defense. He harassed and frustrated Braun last year and held him to about half of his season average. That was a big key to UND winning.

FU fans have been amusing as they have been downplaying how Wofford played against their competition particularly South Carolina, after doing the same thing when they faced Georgia Southern last year ('buttbama') yet they are quick to point out that they will be able to stop Wofford's triple option offense because they stopped Georgia Southern option last year. Sounds like a case of butt'buttbama'. I think FU wins, but much closer than some of their fans think. Wofford's D shut down some pretty good offenses this year. Should be a grind it out type of game. SHSU and MSU is going to be an excellent game. I think the winner of that makes it to Frisco.
  18. Kevin Cramer appointed to Science, Space and Technology Committee can't be a bad thing for UND with the areas the Aerospace program has started moving towards.
  19. Not a bad first win for Brewster. Keep the momentum going.
  20. Any word on attendance? Izzo said it is the biggest NDSU WBB crowd he's seen since he's been in Fargo (2006).
  21. Glad to hear. I assume these girls know the importance of this game. I mean NDSU's football team took time to send some smack their way while celebrating (if you believe FU's version of events)
