While you're at it, get off my lawn!!

There's "supposed" to be no fighting in football either. A quick google search proves otherwise.

Not sure where he gets that extra gear from when the ball is in the air. Thought he was overthrown by 5 yards in the 2nd quarter, no clue how he got under that.
-
Per the GF Herald: Not real excited about it, but it does give the Jacks a little something more to prepare for. I'd like to see Bartels start, get in a rhythm and play the majority of the game. Wouldn't mind seeing a read-option type package for Molberg for a series at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. What I hope doesn't happen is a rotation. Didn't work last year, don't see it working this year.
-
Tough to get a read on the team from the game. I thought Bartels looked more comfortable in the pocket and made better reads/passes than Molberg, but not sure how much more Joe played with the 2nd team. I guess I shouldn't expect Valpo to not gain any yards, but it seemed like they got a better push than one would like to see quite a few times. Can't allow that against SDSU or Zenner will have a big day. Sumner is also going to be a much better QB and not bail the defense out with poor throws. Next weeks game be interesting. The offense looks like it can score along with some special teams magic (Hardin and Golladay as returners is a nightmare for opponents) but I'm still not sold on the defense.

If he can get to the 2nd level this year, he will have quite a few. Couldn't get there last year. He should have plenty of open space to run through tonight.
-
Or he was injured and isn't going to start anymore, in which case, he is off the team.

And basketball/volleyball. Watched quite a few of the MBB on BigSkyTV last winter and plan to do the same again this coming season.

Yet here you are on a UND board...
-
Point 1 - Their record indicates different. They committed offenses that are crimes except on BV and in your mind apparently. Point 2 - Maybe it is your FU math, but 2010 was only 3 years ago, not 8.

Not sure exactly which of your posts to respond to, but I'll try to provide a little more insight. Fans and players want home games. They also want quality games. UND will get a lot of quality games through their conference schedule, but that only guarantees 4 home games and requires 4 away games. That gives UND 3 non-conference games to work with (most years, but for simplicities sake, assume that). In order to get a home game with a good team, UND will either have to commit to a home/home game, meaning they will have to travel to the other school for one of their 3 non-conference games in a future year or pay a ton of money for a one-time game (and even then most quality schools want home/home). Most years, one of the non-conference games is also taken up by an FBS money game ($300k-500k). Teams like Valpo will come play for a decent, but not break the bank check and it gives fans a home game to go to. UND easily has one of the best/toughest home schedules in the country this year. 7 home games is a pretty impressive feat, especially when only playing 11 games. A team like Valpo won't excite a regular fan, but it might excite someone who doesn't watch much UND football or the students to see the scoreboard spinning (hopefully). And while not planned, this is probably a good thing for UND with a redshirt freshman starting at quarterback. As for my comment on playoffs, Valpo is considered a D-1 school despite not giving out scholarships. They play in the Pioneer League, which is non-scholarship, though I believe they offer other forms of student aid. Until a random rule change sometime this summer, only D-1 wins counted toward an unspoken rule of 7 wins required to make the playoffs. For various reasons, some unknown, on top of the playoff field expanding to 24 teams this year, a 6 win team may make the playoffs. The committee also said they would put some weight into a D-2 win but have not announced how that formula will work or how much weight would be put into it and no one knew about it until most schedules had been finalized for months..
-
Congrats, you play in a conference that is held together by threads and other women's programs aren't fully funded. High five! UND just came out of a rough transition period, but now that the IPF is a reality (how's the BSA coming by the way?), I foresee some definite improvement in the women's sports besides WBB and VB which are holding their own right now.
-
They count towards a playoff win. They don't require a return game and aren't charging a crazy payout to come to Grand Forks. Better than putting a D-2 or lower on the schedule like hockey and basketball do to get more home games.

Well if the FU players wouldn't give people so much material to work with...

Per an e-mail from UND, season tailgating spots are sold-out. Will still be general admission spots available on gameday. Can't remember off the top of my head what the cost is per spot on gameday.

UND - 51 Valpo - 10 Game is in hand by halftime. Offense has a few bumps along the way, but both QB's perform well extending the QB battle (which gives SDSU something to think about). Defense shows some improvement but still leaves fans shaking their head once or twice while the game is still close.

Groundbreaking to be held on September 5.

I'm in the same camp. It is interesting that the SFI guys are leaning Molberg as they seem to be plugged in and pretty accurate as well. I tend to agree with this as well. He'd probably be able to contribute but there is a logjam of WR's and Carr's specialty, especially his first year or two, is going to be in the return game. I see Hardin taking a lot of those reps on kickoff for sure, the punt returner job may still be up in the air. But I don't see Carr's shirt getting pulled. Was at Fanfest for a bit yesterday, I can confirm that Golladay is still a beast.

They will likely have the posters at all the games. Yard signs will probably be available at the athletics office in the Hyslop. No real information on either of those, just going off of what has happened in the past.
-
Doubt they had any plans of making money on it, though they likely could especially in a few years when there aren't still stores that have Fighting Sioux gear still in stock. They are doing the bare minimum to keep the trademark active as they have to per terms of the settlement. Not sure I agree with the strategy but I understand it.
-
I stand corrected, missed the logos on the shoulder.
-
I don't have anything to prove it, but that is what I was told by a pretty reliable source. The Sioux Shop sold out in a day or two and I think Scheels is sold out as well. $29. High but the same price as the other T-shirts at the Ralph.

Aware of all of that but I was unaware that Gilly's had reopened their kitchen which is why I was wondering about what mg was talking about when he referenced a preliminary menu. Have never seen a food menu from Gilly's and the new place doesn't have one listed anywhere yet either. Interested to see if they can have a successful lunch menu, could do very well if done right.
