  1. 4 guaranteed home games and 4 guaranteed away games from conference scheduling. Current breakdown: 2014: 6H and 6A 2015: 5H and 5A (one more to schedule) 2016: 5H and 6A 2017: 4H and 6A (one more to schedule) 2018: 5H and 5A (one more to schedule) 2017 will obviously be a home game and then it is just a matter of filling the rest in with home/home (such as Missouri State in 2014/2018, Stony Brook in 2014/2016 and USD 2016/2017) or one time games (such as Robert Morris in 2014, Drake in 2015). 2014 is the last 12 game year until 2019. Link to OOC schedule
  2. Some pictures of what it looks like when set up. Link. And exactly what choyt3 said, they had a 4 day period right now to be able to put the ice in and let it set, it was their best opportunity over the next couple months to get it in properly before the tournament.
  3. The spring prospectus is going to be an interesting read this year.
  4. Lots of playing time available in the secondary for those that want to earn it. Glad to have another good sized defensive back on the team!
  5. Any word on whether Tim Gordon has or will be visiting?
  6. Sounds like they have an indepth knowledge of Big Sky basketball. How about one from people who have seen all the teams play? Big Sky Preseason Polls I'm not arguing UND isn't underperforming. They have half the season to get it together and make the conference tournament and make some noise there. They were never going to get an at large bid, so they are basically 2-3 at this point in what matters.
  7. Can anyone confirm that he did or didn't receive anything from UND? Is it possible they offered him a PWO and he decided to take what SWMU offered instead?
  8. UND was 3rd in the media poll and 2 in the coaches poll (just 2 points ahead of Montana), so not sure where you are getting they were ever favored to win the conference? Of those 8 road losses, 5 or 6 of them would have been a surprising win, not even taking into account this teams road struggles. They took 3rd in the conference last year and were this close to making the finals, they outperformed what everyone thought they would do, now this year they are underperforming. UND was 12-8 in the Big Sky last year. Math seems to check out to a winning season to me?
  9. I agree with a lot of this. The talent isn't doing the fundamental stuff and the bench players are. Jones has had a quick hook with multiple starters when they make bad plays, he even started the second unit at Wisconsin. The starters keep getting chances because Jones also realizes our second unit isn't going to win the games on their own. You would think at some point it would click and I'm at a loss on why it hasn't. They show flashes and then revert. Our posts are injured, inefficient or both. Jones continues to bring in good recruits. He needs to show that he can turn them into a good team.
  10. Disappointing and underperforming thus far in the year? Without a doubt and an understatement. Fire Jones? Get real. After hearing him talk at the booster luncheon last week, he's well aware of the team's shortcomings and the team is too. Guys are having to change their role and it isn't going very smoothly. The injuries they've dealt with over the last couple years have been pretty ridiculous. If anyone doesn't think that this team would be completely different with Brekke in the line-up, you didn't pay much attention to what he brought to the table. I expect this team to play decent basketball the rest of the season and make the Big Sky tourney. What happens after that is on the players who put 4+ years in to getting themselves into that position. Jones' teams have historically played their best basketball at the end of the year, lets hope it continues.
  11. Yikes, kid hasn't even stepped foot on campus and he is already going to set records in D-II? Haven't seen much of him other than a few highlights, but I think the hyperbole is running a little high.
  12. Just flipped the game on. UM up 12-7 with 12:40 to play in the first.
  13. I don't think the play calling helped Mollberg's development or let him showcase his strengths, needed to let him roll out more and use his legs. Hopefully Rudolph adapts his game plan better than what we saw last year, regardless of who the QB is.
  14. They definitely are the two that have the least outside experience. Not surprised they kept one or two from the old staff around, just to keep a little continuation with the players. I would guess they are also further down on the pay scale as well, not going to attract as high of profile guys there either. Overall, I can say I am more than pleasantly surprised with the staff that Bubba put together.
  15. It is not unusual to have a couple holdovers from the previous staff, he would be the second. Former QB's coaching a different offensive skill position also isn't all that strange, but I see your point of view on it. From what I understand on offensive philosophy, Bubba is looking for more of a balanced, ball control offense, which with how the defense was on the field and continuously gashed last year, isn't a bad thing. And then taken into accoun the WR's UND lost, makes even more sense to not throw it 40 times a game. Not always as exciting as a spread, but can be very fun to watch when you are walking down the field on the other team, eating up the clock.
  16. Tom Miller predicting Luke Knauf as the new OL coach. Current Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at D-II Western New Mexico University. Played at UW from 2003-2006.
  17. Not sure of his current NFL connections other than with Trestman, but I wouldn't be surprised.
  18. They love recycling coaches though. Once you're in, you usually get a handful of chances.
  19. The good student portion of that is the key part since DIII schools don't offer athletic scholarships, as I'm guessing you know by your specific inclusion. Aren't athletic teams at other schools allowed to give out academic scholarships to supplement? I believe there are very specific guidelines to it, but it can be done. Not sure on the exact details though.
  20. Just need that OL coach now.
  21. Great info, very much appreciated (amusing as well). I had heard he had some connection with Coach Ahelegbe, didn't know it was through AAU ball though. Guessing he will enjoy playing with Hooker as well.
  22. Wasn't rumors or secret rumblings, it was discussed as an option in the Herald in October when they bought the building.
  23. The wellness center folks got the donations to build it and had a revenue model to show that it should be self-sufficient. Honest question, do you have data to show that the new wellness center is not self-supporting at this point? Their membership numbers were well ahead of where they projected them. The library on the other hand doesn't have the donations to be built nor will it ever provide a revenue model that will get it anywhere near being self-sufficient. Not saying that a new library or something doesn't need to be done, at the cost of taxpayers, but the library board continues to be disorganized in their plans and information released, not to mention dishonest, whether intentional or not, in some facts/figures they have put out.
  24. Not that we need any more confirmation but Jay Sawvel, the UM Defensive backs coach tweeted this yesterday:
  25. Ha, oops, fixed that. I'm thinking on the same lines as you for the rest of it.
