It should also help that UNO also plays a pretty uptempo game, they are top 20 in the nation at just over 80 points per game. While it plays into what they do, playing a small line-up rather than 2 bigs should also helps UND have a better line-up on the court.
-
I was thinking that as well, but at the rate the Traylor/Calcaterra/Salmonson trio picks up fouls, I think you are playing with fire if you have two of the three in there for an extended period of time. Probably going to see a lot of 4 guard line-up with Antwi/Stefan. Thinking Benton will get some good minutes tonight as well. He's capable of guarding players bigger than him, but 6'8" might be pushing it.

Game is at 7pm tonight. UND currently a 6.5 point underdog on UNO's home court. Not counting out any team that has Huff and Anderson but having a hard time seeing this one fall in UND's favor without 2 of their top 3 defenders and by far their most athletic big man on top of all the traveling they've done. Disappointing that 4 of the 7 seniors will likely be watching in street clothes.

I didn't argue any of the above. Just pointing out that when games were actually played on the court, not on paper, the Big Sky was better on the court twice, the Summit once. The Big Sky was inconsistent this year, that's not a secret and it is why their rankings are where they are. But when they played to the level they were capable of, there were multiple good teams. NDSU better be careful on Thursday, this game might be OU's Super Bowl and apparently NDSU is 0-1 in other team's Super Bowls this year.
-
So not only does NDSU give twice as many tuition waivers as UND (and more than all other NDUS schools combined), they basically admit everyone (almost 85% of applicants over the last 10 years). ACT and GPA average over the last 10 years are almost identical.
-
And there it is. BINGO is good folks. Clear your cards for the next game. I'm confused on the logic that all that matters is #ButtRPI and conference rankings, regardless of what happens on the court, yet NDSU fans are convinced they will handle Oklahoma (#26) who play in the Big 12 (#1 conference) and then possibly San Diego State (#15) who play in the Mountain West (#10 conference).
-
So what you're saying is 3 of the top 7 in the rotation are out...Perfect.
-
Head to head victories: Big Sky: 2 Summit: 1
-
Weird how those wins right around the same time frame aren't dismissed the same way though.
-
The Summit wanted UND. If not, explain why they had a campus visit scheduled and then tried to move it up after the Big Sky's interest became public and Douple realized his ability to string UND along no longer carried any weight. Fact: There has never been an instance where the Summit League has made a campus visit that wasn't followed immediately with a conference invite. Fact: NDSU was turned down by the Big Sky twice and no one wanted NDSU except for the revolving door MidCon.

If the rest of the team does the same, it will be a double digit loss.
-
Their feed shows a comment with UND. If they made a mistake they corrected it immediately. Our men's team has gotten some accidental pub the past few days as well. It happens.
-
Tough draw for the ladies. A&M is ranked 15th in the latest polls. They do have 8 losses, but all of them are to top 50 teams.
-
Looks like UNO's starting line-up is roughly G - Carter, 6'1" G - Patterson, 5'10" G - Simmons, 6'3" / Tyus, 6'1" F - Rostampour, 6'8" C - Karhoff, 6'8" If Nash can't play, will be interesting to see how UND handles two 6'8" guys. They also have another guy (Hagerbaumer) who is 6'7" and averages 20+ minutes a game.
-
Anyone who was at the game on Saturday would have a tough time arguing with this.
-
What does UND have available for a starting line-up? C-Traylor F-Huff G-Antwi G-Hooker G-Anderson Bench - Stefan/Salmonson/Calceterra/Benton Or do you start Calcaterra instead of Antwi? Benton hasn't played much lately, likely going to have to see some minutes. Right now our injured/ineligible players would give them quite a run for the money: C-Brekke F-Nash F-Schuler G-Webb G-Tyler Bench - Shanks

With this game, Huff should reach and pass the 2,000 career point mark, I believe he needs 7 or so to get there. He would be the third UND player to join the club (Guldseth and Vonesh). Aaron Anderson will play his 133rd game, which is a UND record. The game against Weber was his 132nd, breaking the previous record of 131 (Chris Gardner and David Robertson).
-
Not sure but it seemed like most of the teams that agreed early to be in it are hosting. Wonder if the earlier invitees are given the option to host when they accept their invite, assumming they paying whatever fee.
-
Anyone know who will be healthy for this game?
-
Outside of USD, do you have any proof of this or is it just conjecture on your part? And I believe USD had a strong desire to move to the Big Sky, the SD Board of Regents denied them in doing so.
-
Must have justified it with their winning record against the mighty Summit.
-
Yes. Near the Columbia Road and Gateway Drive intersection.
-
Congrats on realizing what was obvious months ago. Also, a couple things to chew on: UND has the third most conference road wins the last two seasons behind Weber and Montana. Weber, historically the most consistent team in the league, is finally going back to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2007 after missing in its last 6 tries.

While I do see your point and it can be inconvenience for the fans, I prefer that the regular season winner actually gets an advantage. It makes the regular season worth something.

Yes.
