    gas prices

Wash, rinse, repeat. Happens a couple times a year.
  2. No live action for 3+ months to get his timing and rhythm back and to shake off the rust.

    Lennon

Just throwing it out there but guessing this is a short-term gig until something comes along in a few years. Maybe give him a year or two to recharge a little bit at level where there isn't as much stress.
  4. I believe the posting is technically still open, so others can still apply.
  5. Yep, but I was addressing your original point that no one outside of those fan bases cared. More people take the time to tune in to those games than the FCS championship game. Doesn't make it better or worse, it is just a fact.
  6. Wonder if anyone will ask him about it at the booster luncheon tomorrow.
  7. No different than the FCS playoffs except the bowl games typically draw way more viewers. 2.4 million for Georgia Southern in the GoDaddy Bowl and 1.9 million for App State in the Camellia Bowl.
  8. Not the greatest decision by Geno to take that shot off the dribble. Led to a 5-3 and a wide open 3 pointer for Weber. Huge if it goes in but it didn't.
  9. Has anyone mentioned Bolomboy is kind of good?
  10. Agree, just not sure where that would be if he wants to stay in the area and stay at the D-1 level. He's the same age as Studsrud but has 1 more year of playing time left. No clue if he's on the radar at all, just mentioning it because UND previously had interest of some level.
  11. Former player of interest Jacques Perra (QB) is transferring out of Minnesota. Odd man out after Seth Green changed flipped to UM from Oregon. Not sure which staff (or if both) showed interest in Perra during high school. Has 3 years of eligibility left assuming a transfer out of FBS. http://www.startribune.com/gophers-qb-perra-to-transfer-to-another-school/364528141/
  12. Careful or you're going to get that ermine guy all upset because he didn't think to make his choice a cartoon character.
  13. I've always associated the "University of North Dakota" as the brand. The "product" that is being put out isn't going to change, whether you are talking about hockey, football, basketball, academics, etc, it is just going to be in a different package.
  14. So your solution is to push harder on a logo that is almost identical as a much more recognized University and almost always recognized as that by people not from the immediate area?
  15. Who is advocating for a generic bird? That seems to be quite different than what I said which was that a unique logo is important. How many media outlets, people and schools constantly confuse UND and NDSU, both when UND was the Fighting Sioux and didn't have a nickname? On top of that, not sure I'd use anything that happens at St. Clown as a baseline for making a point.
  16. It would be a more apt comparison if you'd actually use school's that are on UND's level, not Universities with a true, recognizable national brand. On top of that, those schools also don't have a logo that looks almost identical to a school that has a following many, many multiples larger and is much more recognizable than them. The interlocking ND hasn't been unique since Notre Dame started using it and outside of North Dakota and portions of Minnesota and maybe South Dakota, will almost always be confused with most assuming it is Notre Dame. I've been told directly by people in the athletic department it happens constantly when the teams are traveling. That is why a unique logo is important.
  17. Imagine that, Schlossman had to immediately correct him on his post being incorrect. He literally couldn't copy the WDAZ article he cited.
  18. Agreed. He had now played one full year of college basketball. Is he even back to full strength after being fairly sick this fall? He has the range to stretch out the defense as well.
  19. If it would have more accurately been presented that way instead of as a copyrighted logo that UND will never use, it probably wouldn't have won.
  20. PWO as an ILB per Tom Miller.
  21. Nice to lock up another ND commit. Looks to have good size and speed, came back strong after getting injured his junior year.
  22. They were eligible starting in 2008, missed the playoffs the first two seasons (2008-09), lost in the quarterfinals the third (2010) and have won 4 in a row since (2011-14).

    2016 Season

I highly doubt it is going to be Dale Lennon and does anyone really believe he's going to come back to Grand Forks to be a position coach? If you're looking at SIU, a more likely scenario would actually be someone from Lennon's staff that Bubba would be familiar with. Maybe someone like this guy?
  24. At their current ratio, that's only 11-12 women's scholarships. Not a bad deal when that's your compliance target.
  25. So no one was leaving until they ended up leaving? Can't argue with that logic I guess.
