  1. I don't doubt your analysis. It's just what I observed from the few minutes of the second half that I happened to catch.
  2. Didn't see much of the game, but, from what I did see, Hurst was setting a lot of screens for her teammates instead shooting the ball every other time that she touched it. Also, she was letting a guard bring the ball up the floor, as it should be. Now, if she starts posting up down low, she'll be hard to stop. She's a good finisher.
  3. Yeah, Devils Lake beat Sheyenne 3-2 despite being outshot 51-18.
  4. And Orth. They were both gamers.
  5. To your point, it looked like E. Illinois had a lot of grade-schoolers in the crowd.
  6. Couldn't quite pull off a miraculous comeback. 67-55. Had a couple opportunities to cut it to 8 or 7 after being down by 26 or more.
  7. Now 58-48.
  8. Coming back a little in the second half. Now 56-42. Showing some grit.
  9. Yada, yada, yada, repeat, repeat, repeat, etc., etc., etc., blah, blah, blah, wash, rinse, repeat. Good grief.
  10. As Gates Brown (pinch-hitter for the Tigers) once said, "I'd rather be lucky than good."
  11. Time heals all wounds.
  12. Jack was one of my favorite players. I would guess that he was a great locker room guy, too. I will definitely miss him. Hope he has success at his next stop. Psalm 32:8.
  13. Probably to keep the defense "honest," but when you run the ball like we do, in that situation you probably continue running it until you're forced to pass. A number of factors that, in hindsight, could have/probably would have turned the game around.
  14. Poor coaching didn't drop the potential interception or rough the opposing QB in the end zone on 3rd and, what, 15 or more, either of which could have/probably would have turned that game around.
  15. I like the idea of a QB spy. But, I also think we need to bring 5-6 on every third and long. I know that we haven't gotten to the QB near often enough in these situations, but I also know that we can't let the QB sit there and pick us apart. As someone suggested, maybe we need to do a better job of disguising our blitzes, and I'd like to think that we'll improve and do a better job of getting to the QB. There have been a lot of instances where we've gotten to the QB a half a second too late.
  16. Hopefully, he had the good sense to delete it.
  17. ...and held on to the rock!
  18. Seidl and Tai have definitely impressed in the limited opportunities that they've had. And their opportunities have been limited, at least in part, by the fact that our running back and receiving rooms are, IMO, pretty loaded; and also to preserve their red shirts.
  19. So. Illinois.
  20. And Ziebarth is a stud. Absent any changes, he and Isaiah will form a formidable tandem next season. Not to mention Seidl.
  21. Sometimes more...
  22. Usually 500-1,000 people come disguised as empty seats.
  23. Hopefully, Ziebarth is 100% and we can pound the rock. Isaiah is done a very good job in his absence and finally seems to be coming into his own. Gives us a great one-two punch, not to mention Skokna and Seidl.
  24. Work something out with MU, KU, and/or KState. They'd be a huge draw and would relieve the Summit teams from a big payout for a home game. They'd probably fill the T-Mobile, not to mention Municipal Auditoriuim.
