  1. Outrebounded USD 44-33, only 3 TO's the entire game, and lots of BIG shots down the stretch whenever the Coyotes were threatening to get back into it. Let's keep rolling Saturday. 1st or 2nd place potentially on the line?
  2. As part of that 8-game streak, they even managed to beat first-place West Fargo 2-1 after losing 4-1 in the first go-round. Their 8th-grade goaltender must really be coming around.
  3. Agree. She does have a little help, though, in that her senior teammate is the third leading scorer in the state. Pretty big dropoff after that, though. Two eighth grade defensemen. Would love to see them make state, also, so that I can catch a game online and see her play for the first time.
  4. Also leads the state in scoring again with 47 points.
  5. They're playing with urgency, especially on defense; I think that that's the difference. If they can pull off another W in Vermillion this Thursday, this will be the first time in at least three years that the 'SU game on Saturday will really mean something.
  6. Agree. Not sure we're missing much from a guy that doesn't honor his word/commitment. I don't care whether the 'SU job was a "better" opportunity; he'd already made another commitment.
  7. Pemberton is really smooth. Still very early, but the way she's going she'll be in contention for freshman of the year. Really like her play and attitude. Seems humble and coachable, a great combination, especially when coupled with skill.
  8. I'm thinking that he would be a good choice. Landry or King wouldn't be bad, either. All three former QB's.
  9. Suspected that, but good to know from someone who's actually seen him play.
  10. Good for Tommy! Loved watching him play; one of my favorite players. Best of luck to him at MSU.
  11. Miller's article says that Martens is enrolling for the spring semester today. Excited about his potential.
  12. The guy really knows how to hit.
  13. Merry Christmas everyone!!! (Luke 2:1-20).
  14. I don't doubt your analysis. It's just what I observed from the few minutes of the second half that I happened to catch.
  15. Didn't see much of the game, but, from what I did see, Hurst was setting a lot of screens for her teammates instead shooting the ball every other time that she touched it. Also, she was letting a guard bring the ball up the floor, as it should be. Now, if she starts posting up down low, she'll be hard to stop. She's a good finisher.
  16. Yeah, Devils Lake beat Sheyenne 3-2 despite being outshot 51-18.
  17. And Orth. They were both gamers.
  18. To your point, it looked like E. Illinois had a lot of grade-schoolers in the crowd.
  19. Couldn't quite pull off a miraculous comeback. 67-55. Had a couple opportunities to cut it to 8 or 7 after being down by 26 or more.
  20. Coming back a little in the second half. Now 56-42. Showing some grit.
  21. Yada, yada, yada, repeat, repeat, repeat, etc., etc., etc., blah, blah, blah, wash, rinse, repeat. Good grief.
  22. As Gates Brown (pinch-hitter for the Tigers) once said, "I'd rather be lucky than good."
