I was at both the UND game and the NDSU game this weekend. IMO, if two teams played tomorrow, Vegas would give our boys about 10 1/2 maybe 14. The Bison are a mature team with an strong identity. UND is currently neither. But they are not playing tomorrow, or next year or the year after that. So, lets hope Mussman is developing an identity for this program as it enters the BigSky. If he does that and recruits to support it, I'm not worried about any future matchups with our friends in Fargo.

I must have not have made my point very well. It should all be gone. I was at the Bison game last night (hey, I like to watch football.) If some yahoo had tried to run a balloon kicking contest (actually done at the Alerus) during a break they would have run him or her out on a rail.

I was at the game as well (as I am a season ticket holder). I was pleased with the effort on the field and I am optimistic about the future. That being said, the video board stuff and the FM Redhawks syle between innings histrionics leave a bit to be desired. It is inauthentic and hokey.

It was Quesenberry, Mussman said high ankle sprain and they expect to have him back, didn't seem terribly concerned.

I seem to recall Kelly saying that UND is basically tapped as far as student capacity. He wanted to focus on increasing the overall quality of student body. I'm curious to see the academic stats of the incoming freshmen.

Those who had increased attendance throughout the transition were programs that were in the ditch (playoff wise) prior to their respective moves. The transition along with an improved product on the field gave their respective fanbases something to be excited about for the first time in a number of years, thus increased attendance. UND put a stop to a consistent DII playoff program. They then asked their fans to cool their jets while this transition thing worked itself out. Its a very different scenario and unfortunately it impacted attendance.
