  2. Aside from the "Gods will" part, what is incorrect? Have you ever read say anything? Port's views on Higher Ed are quite clear and consistent.
  3. http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/arrogance-und-instructs-media-to-limit-use-of-fighting-sioux-logonickname/ More old news from Say Anything. This is a month old. But it has "Arrogant" in the title so....................
  4. Good Gravy. Oregon's Rose Bowl Unis.... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151107629190721.778670.57460905720&type=1
  5. There is a significant difference between "can not" and "probably will not" or "should not."
  6. Sure they could, If they were so inclined, they could use Article III Section 6 as cover. Not even much of a stretch for the type of folks that would be doing the voting.
  7. Dont misunderstand me here, I dont know if there are other agreements or if there will be. From my point of view, it just seems pretty odd for the BigSky to offer a letter of intent as the only executed document that indicates UND's membership and inclusion as a signatory in the Bylaws. As for the By-Laws as I read them, the members could view the NCAA ban on hosting as a "more stringent" rule than the Big Skys and decide the NCAA's rule precludes UND from hosting any BigSky playoff events as well. Note, I didnt say would, I said could.
  8. All I know is he is a 6'7 DL.
  9. Oh, there is always a way to be more wrong. I draft contracts every day for business transactions. Not to say that it has no binding impact, but the letter looks to me like a precursor to another lengthy document. I'm just curious as to what the actual agreement looks like. As for the press release, who gives a crap what words some PR hack uses. They have no impact on anyone. I'm blown away that the author of the story even mentions it.
  10. For all I know there were and are shenanigans. But this article is no bombshell. The docs that article sites are a press release and what is effectively a Letter of Intent. In addition to some wikipedia research and some opinion on what the BigSky is, was and needs. The letter of intent may be binding on its own, but it does nothing to define key terms that are included in it ( which a full contract would) . Key terms that the author of this story uses as the basis for the story. Like I said, there may have been shenanigans. But, this story doesn't tell me one thing I dont already know.
  11. http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/136120378.html?page=2&c=y Per Sid, Andrew Larson has committed to Haavad. UND had offered.
  12. This is what Northern Arizona put in as a removable fieldturf system. http://sportfield.com/softop.php
  13. This got me curious. I'm not sure if he has made all radio interviews, but he has done a postgame media press conf/interview after all games. They are all on Fightingsioux.com.
  14. The Fargodome is a different animal as it is not beholden to a corporate sponsor, they just did it for giggles. Perhaps, there are others, but I haven't found one. This isn't the end of the world here, it's just odd to me.
  15. My issue is the location of the Alerus Logos, no one else does it this way. They have every right to do it and I'm assuming that the logos location and size are detailed on the naming rights agreement. Also, UND and Alerus Center are splitting costs for the turf project.
  16. In my best Homer Simpson voice, "Stupid naming rights contract." There are a number of college football stadiums that have corporate names: Minnesota, Louisville, Oregon State and Texas Tech come to mind. I cant think of any that give the corporate name center field logo positioning (if any at all). Lame.
  17. Its stuck behind a paywall, but the short google description of this article says Adam Bungum is going on an official visit to UND, may already have done so. Yet another kid where we are competing with the Service Academies. http://wisconsin.sco...%2f1133349.html More info http://rivals.yahoo.com/iowa/football/recruiting/player-Adam-Bungum-124205
  18. I'd be very surprised if UND made a significant Uni change.
  19. Anyone else surprised UND is landing players from the heart of MVFC country?
  20. I'd be curious to see what the naming rights agreement requires re: Alerus logos on the field itself. Don't be surprised if the 50 yard line looks just like it does right now (hopefully not). Only changes could be different endzones and Big Sky logos on 25s.
  21. A search warrant? Wonder if it was PhiDelt's mailman that gave another tip. Not good. Not good at all.
  22. Something has been bugging me about GFH football coverage. If one looks over to inforum.com right now, news of the Bemidji receiver commit is front page news, huge picture and story on the rotating web top section. Is this kid really a huge get? I dont know, but to the Forum's credit and NDSU's its covered as though it is. There have been stories written by Kolpack and co about every verbal so far this year. At the Herald? Crickets. Schlossman does a tremendous job with hockey. If there was 1/3 of that type of reporting effort dedicated to football, recruiting etc it would be very big for the program. We on here know of 6 or so verbals for UND thus far. Has the Herald reported on any of the kids not hailing from Detroit Lakes? Hell, the hard part is done for them. How long does it take to go on Sioux Football Insider or SiouxSports Wiki then figure out a way to contact a kid or a kids coach and do a short story? Maybe I'm just missing the stories. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations.
  23. Liberty? That may shed some light on why Turner Gill is taking that job.
  24. Michaelson took a visit at Wyoming last weekend.
