I have not heard about a timetable for their return. They have nagging lingering injuries from the summer/preseason but not sure beyond that. Originally they said the injuries were not serious but…

I’m having my doubts. There’s a free trial for Bally’s so no harm in getting it but everything I’ve seen mentions the game stream as just on big 10 plus.

I personally think the comment to Tyson about all the “Fighting Hawk” fans in town this weekend is stupid considering MSP has one of, if not the largest, UND alumni bases in the country.A lot of UND fans are technically always in town.

I think Ty Farmer will be in the lineup on Defense. I would also personally rather play 7 D right now instead of an extra forward. Especially while the defense gets figured out.

I actually said during Friday’s game: “Hear me out, a Gaber-McLaughlin-James top line” I know they have James in the bottom 6 because he’s versatile enough that he can fit there, but it feels like a waste of his talent at times.

That’s the thing. I still pick them 3rd/4th in the league. I do not think Omaha and Western will be as good, and I don’t think CC is quite there to challenge either UMD or SCSU in the top 4. I don’t think they’ll be bad or anything but with all their turnover I just would not have had them as a top 5 team nationally at this point in the season.

They shouldn’t have been ranked as high as they were to start the season. Not with that turnover. Wouldn’t even have made my top 10.

I’d rather keep Gaber and McLaughlin on the same line, but we could find another winger for them and go back to 19-27-10 and I’d be cool with that.

I don’t think there was a pre-game interview with him when we were at QU last year. Don’t quote me on that but I think going into the weekend I wondered if there would be because of how much Tim hates him. So I listened to see and I think there wasn’t.

I’ve looked into them a bit. I read somewhere they have the largest roster turnover in the ECAC this year but considering the amount of wrong info in season previews I read last week, I will take that info with a grain of salt. They have eight freshmen but just looking at early stats, don’t think they have actually played 8 freshmen. I think we are deeper up front and that’s where we may have an edge. They lost some significant offensive contributors from last year’s team, but there were still a few names I recognized.

I’m not as high on Q-pac as others. Still think they’re solid though. They have 8 freshmen so they’ve had some turnover from last year. I’ll be curious to see how we match up.

I would rather see pretty much any line combo for our top line than the one that played tonight. I like Gaber, Schmaltz and Caulfield as players but I haven’t liked them together as a line. I think there’s gotta be something that’ll work better.

There’s no one to play center if you take both Strinden and Ness out. So I don’t think Strinden is coming out. They’d have to move either Senden or Costantini to 4th line center and that’s definitely not going to happen. I agree with you on the top line. I’m not a fan of it right now. I think they want to keep Gaber and Schmaltz together because they played all last year together, but I’d rather we try something different.
