The amount and quality of players in the transfer portal is going to drop off once the players with the extra Covid year option run out of eligibility. Something to keep in mind.

If we get one of the ones I’m thinking we have not a good chance at I’ll chalk that up as a win even if we miss on some others. I love a good surprise. Realistically, I’d also say we can maybe get 2 from the list and I’d take it.

We haven’t gotten a Twin Cities recruit that didn’t have a connection to the program since Berry took over. It is what it is, but I think we’ve gotta start getting some because it impacts getting future recruits from the Cities.

He played at Mount St Charles in Rhode Island. UND has pulled a few players from there recently.

Judd also disappears from a production standpoint for really long stretches at a time every season. I know he is valuable in other ways but for a team that has struggled scoring I don’t think he’s pencilled in for top 6 at all. Gaber is literally the only guy who played top 6 last year that should have their top 6 spot secured. The other spots should be up for grabs.

Costantini is drafted by Buffalo and the article has theirs as “TBA” and I saw they haven’t announced their camp roster yet. So he could still be going.

Not to be that person but… Didn’t it happen with Nick Schmaltz too? Granted not as late as Jasper, and not the same situation, but wasn’t the chatter that he was going to come back for his junior season until he went to Development camp and the Blackhawks talked to him and then he signed?

I think it could continue to be a trend- seeing more Canadians come down to the USHL. With the restrictions in Canada due to Covid and the uncertainty of seasons being played the last few years, more kids started to make the move and have had success so I could see it gaining traction.

I’m not sure it’s possible. My roommate my last year at UND was a first year med student and the schedule she had was insane.
