… yes, but we also finished 2nd in the NCHC that year and went to the Frozen Four. NCHC was mediocre in non-conference play that first year of the league. SCSU and UND were the only at large bids and DU got the auto bid but they weren’t good that year.

Hak teams never missed the NCAA tournament so how “bad” could one of his teams have been? There were a couple 1st round NCAA exits, but one of those teams won the WCHA tournament and another won the WCHA regular season.

Miami is 36th in the PWR (they are 4-1-1 in non-conference) so it’s a different situation from when we got swept by Canisius and they were like last in the PWR.,

Said in the paper he didn’t practice Monday or Tuesday, returned to practice Wednesday but had trouble keeping food down. Better to let him recover for next weekend.

Faceoffs were even in the 1st but Schmaltz has lost all of his apparently so I’m sure that’s part of the perception.

That’s good news on Bast. It was starting to sound like it’d be a while before we see him in a game. I know he’s more of the 6/7 guy in the D-core, but considering how bad a couple of the defensemen have been lately, at least having the option to put him in would be nice.

Because he’s been an absolute non-factor all season? He’s had multiple opportunities in the top 6 and hasn’t been noticeable at all.

I’ve thought about it, and these are a couple lines I personally would try if I was in charge : 17-8-9 26-22-28 *I decided that since so far both of Caulfield’s goals this season came off great passes by James that we should give them some more time on the same line. If we want 22 and 9 on different lines putting McLaughlin at center with these 2 made sense. The other line we’ve tried before but was what was leftover in my head so I just went with it. *

Absolutely not on Schmaltz-Gaber-Caulfield. I mean talk about no chemistry. It wasn’t good last season and didn’t work when they tried it this season.
