  1. Could it be? Words of wisdom from a Gopher fan? Sagard: you hit the nail right on the head. The best two will be UND and MN. UMD I think will be up there as well, and could be contenders. DU will be good, but as far as title contenders, I think that depends a lot on their recruiting class. They do lose quite a bit for next year. The key for any team to win is to avoid Michigan in Michigan. Way to go out on a limb To quote Metallica, " Sad, but true." I'd actually like to see UND or Minnesota go out east for the regionals (assuming they both make it, which I believe is pretty likely), so we can have a classic Sioux-Gopher final.
  2. I actually agree with airmail...no need to play the season, just give us #8 right now...I mean who's seriously going to beat us...the Gophers? .......now watch, Nat'l Championship game is Anchorage vs. Quinnipiac
  3. 2003-04 Gopher schedule from Parise On Ice...all Parise, all the time (Credit to Scott_M for that part, If I've learned one thing in college...cite your sources) October 10-11 AT UNO Stampede Maine UNO/Wisco October 24-25 DULUTH October 31 November 1 DENVER November 7-8 @ North Dakota November 14-15 @ Wisconsin November 21-22 MICHIGAN TECH November 28,29,30 @ Michigan St. and Michigan December 5-6 @ Alaska-Anchorage December 19,20,21 MARIUCCI CLASSIC? December 26,27,28 PRINCETON, NM/UNH January 2-3 BOSTON January 9-10 @CC January 16-17 MANKATO January 23-24 NORTH DAKOTA January 30-31 WISCONSIN February 6-7 BEMIDJI STATE February 13-14 @ Duluth February 20-21 ALASKA-ANCHORAGE February 27-28 @ Denver March 5-6 SCSU
  4. I'm in seat 5, two away from that little runway part (I think) behind the Sioux penalty box (I don't know who's it will be during this game). One row behind the box
  5. here, ere, ere, ere, ere.... yup, I think so
  6. They can't...My roommate isn't going to be able to go to Sioux games because: 1) He graduates in December, so he won't get season tickets, and... 2) He doesn't want to sit alone in the upper bowl Read my previous posts about the Senate dropping the proverbial ball.
  7. damn...lucky bastard ...not like I had a chance anyways and come on, did you seriously think that Hacker had a chance over Sandelin and Johnson?
  8. Question #1...no As I said I could be wrong about the blade curvature, and it appears as though I am, thanks for correcting me. Harder shots with a flatter blade occur using the slap shot...but, I will concede to larger curves shooting hte puck harder using the wrist shot. It's simple physics (okay so physics isn't simple by any means, and no i don't know how to figure it out...I took my C and ran in that class).
  9. Why do I get the feeling that you are in the student senate? How easy do you think it is going to be to get all your friends together to buy tickets in groups? Did you guys honestly think this through? My guess is no. How many students did you talk to, where do they normally sit, and what did you ask them? The least you could have done is let us been able to get group sets of tickets, so it would not have as difficult to sit with friends...I'll say this again, I think you guys dropped the ball on this one. Seats need to be earned every game, it's not a one time deal. Again...thanks a lot Is center ice really that important to you, or do you just not have a lot of friends that go to hockey games so you figure, you'll wait in line once and pretend to be a true hardcore fan?
  10. There was a ban??...I lived there for 19 years and not once did I hear of this, or even see it implemented. When I was there for the Final Five they used the Sioux logo in the paper.
  11. ComicView: Welcome to the CHA Fear Factor: UNH gets to Nat'l Championship game and chokes....again
  12. hahahaha...It's definatley Panger!!! .....Guy Hebert , or Jeff Hackett, Career back up extrodinaire
  13. Unsolved Mysteries: A look at Matt Greene's penalties in the second half of the year
  14. I believe that it is Roy with 4, three of which he also won the Conn Smythe (The only one where he didn't win the Conn Smythe was in 96 with the Avs). Hasek only has one Cup, and Broduer has two. I have another nominie...Jon Casey . C'mon, who didn't see that coming
  15. The Weakest Link: Documentary on Alaska-Anchorage's season Cops: in Minneapolis: Minnesota's national championship celebration
  16. I gotta go with St. Patrick, with Hasek a close second...I have seen both do things I had no idea the human body could do. However, in 5 years I agree with Greyeagle that we may be calling Marty Brodeur the greatest of all time. Why is Giguere on the list? Sure he's playing great right now, but I think he has to do this well for more than half a season before he can be considered with the likes of Roy, Dryden, Hasek, and Brodeur IMO.
  17. Saw this on POI Program Schedule OK, so it's not real, but I still found this hilarious. Your thoughts to "shows" that should be added. My suggestions... Boston Public: Around The Horn format where BU, BC, Harvard, and Northeastern fans yell about why their respective teams will win the NCAA's this year, then look shocked when the WCHA brings it home once again. Lucky: MSU's rise to 3rd in the WCHA Any more you all can think of?? Rodent Fan's suggestions
  18. Definately. The two line pass rule has got to go. If the nets are made wider, it should only be a few inches. There is however nothing wrong with the equipment. Remember that the shots are coming much harder than they were back in the day on the first basemen's mitt and no helmets or face masks.
