These preseason polls are based more on reputation and last years finish than anything else, I don't think a lot of analyzing goes on.

It could get really ugly if they lose this week, I think EWU, Portland State, and NAU are very unlikely wins, that leaves 3 possibilities. If they lose this week this team will be totally demoralized and 2 or 3 wins might be it.

The silence screams in that situation.

Someone said Faison was telling the players to quit screwing around on the sidelines, if he had to do that himself I don't see how he can feel any other way than Mussman has lost control of the team, and I would bet a lot of money he is a dead man walking. Whether he gets the hook now or 30 seconds after the last game is the only question, but the more important question to me is "When can we start talking to current coaches about the position?", because the day before that is "legal" should be the last day of his employment. Does anybody know the rule?

The money for a good coach shouldn't be as much of an issue as it will appear to be...get a proven coach, start winning games, draw bigger crowds, sell more concessions and apparel...money is there. Even drawing another 2000 people per game when the team starts being competitive should cover the increased coaching salary over the course of the season.

Kramer is a good motivator but he has had quite a bit of dirty laundry in his past...I don't know if UND wants to go there.
