Wow that's a lot of hostility for a preseason game, do these teams normally not get along? I know they're pretty close geographically but have never paid much attention to them really.

Quite the signature game we're treating the London faithful to...0-3 Pittsburgh vs. 0-3 Minnesota. That should solidify soccer as the national sport for another 10 years.

The Fighting Sioux... I think UND has the inside track, or at least the horses to get it done, Weber should be right there and Montana will be around 3rd or 4th, unless some young guys step up I don't know if they can offset losing Cherry and Ward.

You're right, they actually did force 4 turnovers which would usually translate to victory, but lo and behold 2 fumbles here...a pick there...a fake punt and a fake FG later...loss again. Just think if they wouldn't have had those 4 turnovers, probably would have been a blowout. Sad state of affairs right now.

And that was after a fake punt too so they should have been extra aware of trick plays...pathetic. He didn't even have to slip past the outside rusher like most fake FG's work, he just hung by the sideline and waited...I don't remember ever seeing that before. This team is fundamentally awful, the play calling is predictable, the QB can't throw an accurate ball over 10 yards and makes bad decisions, and the secondary is probably the worst in the history of the Vikings. You play a bad team that has no running game and is forced to play their 3rd string QB and he throws for 320 yards and beats you? At home? Really? And Frazier stands there like a tree stump showing no emotion like he's thinking about where he's going to eat dinner tonight, just once I'd like to see him chew someones ass on the sidelines. At this point nothing is going to change unless the team continues to lose games, which looking at the schedule should happen. This is what the Vikings are when Peterson can't run for 150+ and they don't get a well-timed turnover...a bad team.

I really like the downtown area now, with my attraction to sports, food, and a few beers the only thing that would be better is if there would be any half decent teams besides the Lynx, the other 3 are currently pretty smelly.

UND is catching them at the right time, they have a lot of guys out or banged up besides DMG.

After watching all the 3 yard passes with time running out today I would take Last Call Tommy if he wants to come back.

I would hope if they go 2-14 or worse the Ponder era would be over...so probably Bridgewater. But right now I would be surprised if they don't get more wins than Jacksonville, they are gawdawful.

Looked like a great atmosphere by the set, was a good day for FCS and the whole area. Should have got rid of the OU and ND signs right in the middle of the panelists, I would have rather seen Jamestown and Minot State than those media whores.

That pretty much sums it up.

The sobering fact is there is not much that can be done by dismissing a coach now, everybody worth hiring is coaching their own team and won't (more likely can't) leave until their season is over. You can turn the program over to one of the assistants on an interim basis and that might put some urgency and fear into the players, but the players and playbook will remain the same, and probably the results too. Coming into the season the sentiment on here seemed to be that 2013 would be the year of decision for Mussman with 7 home games and 3 good years of recruiting, and that seemed fair. If it plays out like many fear and UND is only able to win a few more games and is blown out a few times, then I think it would be wise of the UND brass to take a hard look at what they want to do, and make the move with one or two games left and get a jump on the next coach by letting the college football world know that "we're looking". I'm not sure when the "legal" date is that existing coaches can start talking to other teams about vacancies, but I've seen more than one coach take a new job and then coach his old team in a Bowl game, so it must be around the end of the regular season. I could probably find it in the NCAA rulebook, but looking through that manifesto gives me an aneurysm. If UND is sitting at 3-6 or worse and most of those losses are lopsided, they're really going to have to consider making a move.
