this will spark a whole new level of arrows and daggers being thrown, but these conference tournaments really don't mean much unless you are a team that absolutely needs the wins to get in like UND did last year or SCSU this year. after all there are no banners raised for the conference tourney.

tomorrow's game is game between two teams who don't give shift. have the dance teams play each for all that matters. too bad it's not in the bylaws that if this game is utterly meaningless for making the tournament both teams can opt out.

hell they could up playing michigan next weekend with minny and miami as the other regional semifinal in one hell of a region of death.

if that is the case, then shame on und's staff for not being able to make the proper in game adjustments.

well I am glad in choosing to play the early game they will get enough rest for the meaningless third place game tomorrow.

SCSU can't lose 2 this weekend as that would give them a losing record and be inelegible for an at large bid. a loss and a tie at worst.

UND needs to come out and jump on CC right away and not let them hang around for 2-3 periods like they did last year.

I'm going with UND in three. UND is very good, although they need to clean some stuff up from this last weekend and get as healthy as possible. The reason I think it takes three is that is how this senior class has rolled over their careers. Nothing has come easy and they usually at some point have their back against the wall and show their best at that point. that along with with beating a team 6 times in a row in a season no matter how bad they might be is a pretty daunting task.

and some of you thought the hawks would be fine. they haven't been since new years day and it is embarrassing with all the talent they have. the effort has rarely been there. they must think they have a switch like the kings or something.

blackhawks having troubles with oilers again. wild could be just two points back of them. what a disgrace.

if this team can't go on the road and get at least 1 point this weekend it doesn't deserve being the outright champ and number one seed. that being said, UND hasn't been swept on the road since November of 2011 at Minnesota. time to go win a big Cup.

und needs to find a way to beat this team in grand forks. if I recall they are 1-4-1 against the huskies the last three years up here.

I just hope neither of these games ends up in a stupid shootout as western seems to be pretty good in them and well und isn't.

why are the powers that be in college hockey so opposed to going 4 on 4 in OT?

that is by far the most asinine way to determine a "winner". how pathetic will it be if und misses out on winning the penrose because it can't win a frickin or for that matter even score a goal in a shootout? maybe und can petition to get out of a league that has these stupid shootouts.
