  1. Hope this article hasn't been discussed already, it's from last October: Interesting look at the hodge podge of various developmental leagues available for young prospects, and the various drawbacks of each and how they could work better. http://www.hockeypro...?articleid=1133
  2. If the NCAA had the power to, they would probably try. You would think they would want to start with the place they are headquartered: Indianapolis, Indiana. They would find some reason to exclude Indianapolis, though. Probably say it's named after the country and not American Indians. Then, they would have to change almost all of the state names and thousands of cities, rivers, mountains etc., and eventually, they would probably get to Sioux Falls.
  3. That is sad. Reminds me of the poisoning of Auburn's trees. People are dumb.
  4. I didn't know Popeye was such an expert on hockey and geography. I almost wish Seth would've never considered us after that idiotic explanation. ---------------------- I've never heard of somebody choosing the CANADIAN hockey league over the NCAA in order to "stay in the US.". That's a good one. Good job by the agents and the CHL propagandists, on this one,
  5. And more if you look at all of college hockey, not just us.
  6. I agree that's what they say, and I guess a lot of young players buy it. My answer to that is that players already play enough games starting from a young age and by the time they're 25 a lot of players are burnt out after so many games and so much mimicking of the pros. Maybe it does a player good to go to school for a few years and build themselves up. More and more college players are playing in the NHL, so I don't know how much longer the CHL can argue that their system is so much better.
  7. Ooooh, I get it! It's ironic because a lot of people were happy we weren't losing Eades to Mankato, and then it turned out Hakstol had been planning on firing him all along. Good one, GPL Mole. You should be a stand-up comedian for remembering that thread and quoting a post from it. You would be like a super low-rent version of Jerry Seinfeld, but 15 years too late, and without the jokes.
  8. I do too. I wonder how long that little experiment ran. Seems like it wouldn't take long to come to light.
  9. I'm shocked that this guy is firing someone in his coaching staff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZnhuOEUFXA
  10. Yeah, it's too bad he's probably going to be turned into a whining primadonna wuss by the Gophers and their toxic fanbase and culture, over there.
  11. I thought you were going to say, "Cary Eades is now my new favorite Sioux coach ever. He has never coached a non-Fighting Sioux team and he even went so far as to leave the program rather than coach a non-Sioux UND team." I think that would've been better for your character to say.
  12. Yeah. It's like, "which came first: the chicken or the egg?" Oops, nevermind, the college definitely came first.
  13. cool story, bro.
  14. Matt Greene with a shorty. 2-1 kings
  15. No way a Devils Lake Sioux fan backs out on UND. *knocks on wood*
  16. Chris Kreider just scored his second goal in his first handful of NHL games ever. and now an assist. I can't believe the Rangers put a guy straight outta college into the NHL playoffs. I always hear from NHL fans how college is so much slower than Major Juniors and the AHL, and college is just wasted development time, especially from Canadian NHL fans.
  17. Whatever, Saul Alinsky.
  18. Appears someone needs a hug. I would give you one, but you are a supporter of socialism, by taking part in social security and using public roads. "google response", what a cop out. I guess you don't have an intelligent response. ' 'anyone that seems like they know more about something than me, must be using google." Yawn.
  19. Oh, and the "joke" is really lame and unfunny. If it was actually clever or funny, it might be easier to laugh it off. That's a tip for all the filmmakers out there.
  20. Those Bison fans look like idiots. Yeah, he says he's going to UND, but he says "North Dakota" is the worst "place" on Earth. I'm pretty sure they used "University of North Dakota" because it works better and is less clunky than saying "North Dakota State University". It's not like anybody outside of the upper midwest would have any reference for University of North Dakota. So the Bison fans are really making fun of themselves.
  21. Crazy how whacky conservatives get so excited about a book. A whole thread to shower love on it. So whacky. We're living in the new gilded age, but unfortunately, the Republican party has convinced most of their people that it's the Carnegies and Rockefellers of the world, that are the victims. Case in point, Atlas Shrugged. Other case in point, Republicans block a law that would make sure that the richest man in America, Warren Buffet, and other very wealthy people, pay as much in taxes as their secretaries. Warren Buffet is for it, but that's not good enough for your average poor or middle class conservative. They want more power concentrated in the hands of the wealthy. Top tax rate was 90% under Republican Eisenhower, and the rich and everyone else did OK. Eisenhower, what a socialist.
  22. I'm not sure if your poking fun or not. I just found the site to do it, and I might be going a little overboard with them, haha. You can make them at memegenerator.net
