the sioux are getting outshot. it was in their defensive end more. sioux are playing very sound defense for the most part. couple high percentage chances for the sioux at the end of the period. minnesota with an edge in high percentage shots overall. sioux aren't quite running on all cylinders yet. i think the second period will look better. 0-0 1st intermission

i'm gonna take the source's side on this one. i just hate the generic "we're supposed to be #1 and were a .500 team, this team has no offense, they don't care, all we have is role players" comments. there's a lot of people out there freaking out like we're the next MSU-Mankato. I want the sioux to win every game just like everybody else, but considering their tough schedule I'm not surprised by their record. one thing i'll say is they should work on how to break up the trapping that teams inevitably do if they get a lead on us. i hate seein duluth and denver shut us down with that ugly 1-4 setup and all collapsed around their goalie in their zone.

drunkhockeyguy, i don't think anybody is arguing with what you just said. nobody is making excuses or calling those goals awesome. so u just sound dumb

i didnt say jpl should become the second goalie because of that goal. im just sayin i personally would like to see how good walski is. just for my own curiosity. hak gets paid a lot of money to worry about all this stuff. im kind of a big-goalie advocate, personally. for instance on that deflection(not the long goal) a bigger goalie might've stopped that with his leg pads

so now its two goals we're worried about instead of 1... i personally just wanna see walski play cuz i havent other than that one period against manitoba. but im sure if hak thought he could play better he would play.

too many long passes, not enough cycling down low, could've been more consistent physically, lots of missed passes compared to last night. not really freaking out anymore. just get back to work and play as a team.

the sioux are playing alright. i think the off week may have affected them a bit, they look a little slow and out of step tonight. but they are just gonna keep getting better i think. the talent and work ethic all looks like its there. this season will be fun to watch

thats what i thought too. the puck just happened to bounce in between stalocks pads or oshie would/ve had a juicy rebound

sioux are likely, or should be, pissed after that period. they should throw more bodies on UMD.
