If this was a new nickname thread, a bunch of people would've instantly responded with something like: "Not a bad name, but all of the other conferences' fans will call it the "Penis-rose Cup, so it's obviously out of the question."

Or different lineup, but roll 3 lines, again. Sometimes i think guys can get into a better groove that way. Maybe put the 4th line out every other rotation so guys don't get too tired.

Kristo is such a key player. I really noticed the absence of his name in the radio broadcast, last night. He's really the straw that stirs the drink for whatever line he's on.

From the very small amount I've seen Rocco play this year, I was really impressed. It's like somebody hit fast forward sometimes when he's got the puck, and his offensive awareness is scary good. I think he could have a huge year.

Lot's of guys getting looks in bigger roles. This could be good for this team. If we can get scoring from throughout the lineup, every game, it will bode very well for us. It's still early, but we can learn a lot from a game like this.

I don't know why Gopher fans hang around here anymore. Why don't you guys go try to talk hockey with some Nittany Lions or Buckeyes fans? They are probably more on your level of hockey knowledge, anyway.

I'm not an apologist, but I'm also not going to set my hair on fire because UND hockey games aren't in 3D 1080P quality video, with play by play by Doc Emerick, and broadcast on every cable and satellite system in the country, before the regular season has even started. end mini-rant

Wow. The picture is a lot better watching on MidcoSports than it was last week when I watched on FCS.

It was on DirecTV channel 626 when I looked yesterday. I'm pretty sure.

Why couldn't you set aside stuff and SELL it to und players who want it? Other than opposition from PC freaks at UND?

Would it be against NCAA rules for fans to donate one of their Sioux jerseys to each new freshmen UND hockey player? I hope there's some secret program to make Sioux stuff available to UND hockey players, indefinitely.

That's what I was thinking too. I thought of Ryan Stoa missing a whole year on a play like that. Hopefully we're just overly pessimistic.

One thing I didn't like about the old WDAZ broadcasts was that I think their camera was up in the press box or something. It was positioned way too high off the ice. That was always a pet peeve of mine. Now the camera angle looks like the normal angle you see in 99% of hockey broadcasts and not like a view from the nosebleeds like it was before. I'm not crazy, right? Did anybody else notice how our camera angle was different, until this year?

The main problem for me is the audio and video being out of sync and the commentator's audio level being too loud compared to the rink audio. I think that did a lot to give the broadcast a high-school-level-production feel. That and the video quality.

Zane looked really sharp at times. Lots of potential there, it seems.

I have a really bad feeling about Parks.

We only have the whole season to go, if we can just get through the next 40 or so games without any more major injuries, we are set up pretty nice for the post season run.

oh, boy. it looked like parks got a knee on knee and then he might've actually had his leg get bent behind him when he fell for a double whammy. the replay didn't look good.

I know that's why I laughed.
