This comes up a thousand times every year, and it's almost always Gopher and Badger fans that think they should have the rules changed for them. It drives me nuts. Sorry, to pick on you, but the selection criteria/process is what it is, and they can't change it in the middle of the season. It's the result of a mathematical formula and nothing else.

The coaches show will probably show up on the UND Insider media player some time. I also saw that Brad S. had a pretty in-depth interview and story about it. You can find that if you go back a few posts on Brad's blog. I thought it was interesting on the coaches show he made it sound like there's a guy or multiple guys that we could steal from Major Juniors, if the NCAA allowed Major Junior players to play college hockey.

True. Who knows what will happen. If the NCHC teams can all be competitive on the national stage and if UND wins titles, still, I won't complain. In a few years, we could all be watching games exclusively over an internet connection and traditional media outlets will be irrelevant.

We basically have the best teams from the current WCHA (not counting the Big Ten Traitors) plus Miami and WMU instead of AA, Bemidji, Mankato and Tech. Oh yeah, and St. Cloud. And no Bruce McLeod. So, what about how the WCHA would be after Minnesota and Wisconsin leave is better than the above.

Yeah, could be that. I wasn't totally serious about thinking the person was a U of M alum. I do find it odd that a "local TV reporter" had already asked him about the Gophers and he said, "Come on, not a Gopher player" and "Definitely no Gophers." So why would the person still think Parise has anything to say about them being ranked #1? If it was that same local tv reporter that asked both questions, my feeling is it was some Gopher fan giving him grief. First he made a little joke by saying "Who was your favorite local player, maybe a Gopher player?", Zach laughs it off and answers the question, and then the same reporter says, "So what do you think about the Gophers being ranked #1?" That sounds like a Gopher fan to me.

Yeah, the Gophers are ranked #1, and it's Dec. 3. Big Deal. Must be a U of M alum asking that question.

It's not because it's run by the federal government that Amtrak doesn't run on time. It's probably because it's underfunded and outdated because the dumb racist Republicans won't pass any bills. The Republicans don't realize that during recessions sometimes the federal government has to spend money fixing things and investing in the country which creates jobs and gets the economy moving again.

Good. The fact that they made Aaron Marvin the captain, last year, showed how serious they are as a program. They should be happy to stay in the WCHA with their buddy, Bruce McLeod, and his ridiculous suspensions and the beer league refs.

It was a tough way to end it, but this team was the best team in the country, and they still got to experience something that was probably greater than even Duluth experienced (in winning a NC) when they won the Broadmoor in front of thousands and thousands of Sioux fans... And I'd say we're all still the luckiest and most spoiled fans in college hockey.

That weekend was partly the Sioux, but a lot of it was diving Maine players and the refs listening to the home crowd too much, in my opinion.

The Sioux game just disappeared from the "upcoming games" part of ESPN on xbox. I know it's probably going to pop up on "Live Events" soon, but every little hiccup is giving me a heart attack, right now. If I can't watch this game I'm going to come unhinged.
