Exactly. I just got around to reading the MBL Preview issue of Sports Illustrated. Baltimore Orioles predicted for another 100 loss season. Predictions and pre-season polls are fun to look at after the fact. Wasn't Notre Dame a pre-season Frozen Four pick last season? The only thing more worthless than pre-season polls for teams are pre-season All-Conference or pre-season All-American picks (in any sport).

Really? I had the exact same issue regarding jerseys from around 2005ish...I thought the NOB on the back of my white jersey was "authentic" but upon further review, it was only close to being what the players wore. Big A HG...PM me or send me a text!

So if we start giving free passes to underage hockey players getting drunk at house parties, can we also excuse the next big bash at the Theta Delta Sigma or Pi Kappa Chi house too (obviously fake fraternity names but you get the idea)? How about the kid in West Hall who gets busted by the RA sneaking a beer into the dorm?

If I had a nickel for every time I heard the word "authentic," I'd be a rich man. I purchased a USA hockey jersey several years ago and the vendor insisted that the NOB was as real as Team USA itself. Imagine my outrage when the jersey arrives and I see individual letters sewn on the back of the jersey..and no nameplate. EPIC FAIL.

I saw that too, but I think "heat-press" and "authentic" are words that should not be used in the same sentence together. Use caution.

Even better news to brighten my day...I'm just getting over the fact that I bought the black authentic with the WCHA tag on the back two years ago...then move the tag to the much more likeable front of the jersey. Thanks.

Scheel's had a panic sale a couple of years ago and I picked up an authentic for $250. I haven't seen them for less than $300 since then after the merchandise deadlines were revised.

I can't believe the number of people who actually think a rhyming nickname is a good idea. The North Dakota Nokota...unbelievable. Why not Michigan Nichigans, Notre Dame Fame or Georgia Peorgia while we're at it?

While this move makes logistical sense in terms of proximity to other Big East schools, I hope UConn can put hockey on the map at a school where basketball is king (and queen).
