So the bedwetters in Minnesota claimed that the NHL wouldn't allow "North Stars" and "Stars" because of the potential confusion between the teams...but we're apparently going to have Blackhawks and Red Hawks (RedHawks? Redhawks?), Night Hawks (or Nighthawks), or Desert Hawks in the same league?

Remember the lines when they announced that the nickname was gone? North DakotaHockey hadn't seen lines that long since the Great Depression! A t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, or hat reading "UND HAWKEY" = corny or cheesy, take your pick.

People cheer for who they want to cheer for. Nobody was a Patriots fan and you NEVER saw a New England jersey anywhere until Tom Brady came along. Seahawks fans are everywhere now too. How many die-hard Bison fans and UND haters in Fargo are HUGE North Dakota hockey fans? LOTS! And they're chastised here too because some folks don't understand how you can be a fan of both teams. Yes and yes. And Notre Dame can go back to their blue, white, and special occasion green uniforms only. Michigan stays the same too. Oregon can be grandfathered in and do whatever the he** they want. Everyone else, get rid of the chrome helmets and 3,247 jersey/pant combinations. Please.
