I was at many of those games - along with many UND games vs St Cloud and Mankato. Seemed like no matter where I was, there was always a chorus of boos directed specifically at the Minnesota traitor, Zach Parise. Now, granted, there wasn't the overwhelming boo'ing as heard in Madison regarding Phil Kessel, but it was certainly heard. Individual conversations with fans revealed the same thing - even worse. ZP was absolutely HATED for not coming to Minnesota. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Excellent point, 97. Denver has done a great job in the draft in recent years. Signing a few "character" guys and locker room leaders like Aqib Talib helps too.

Hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it? On one hand, you criticize a QB from FCS North Dakota State...and on the other hand, you knew a hoopster from Davidson was destined for NBA superstar status? And I might suggest that Denver's recent success stems from quality free-agent signings moreso than the NFL draft...

Joe Mauer is to the Twins what Derek Jeter was to the Yankees, Ozzie Smith was to the Cardinals, and Mike Schmidt was to the Phillies. Minus the championships those collective folks won, of course.
